The guardians rant (part 1)
((Hey guys, I was reading a comment to day and some how it triggered Knot to go into super rant mode. I'm going to post this because if I don't I wont hear the end of it from her, I warn you, when she get's like this she swears like a sailor.
Everyone doesn't have to comment on this rant, I'm doing this so that she would stop yelling))
"I HAVE HAD IT! I HAVE HONESTLY HAD IT! I can't hold this in any more! At this point I don't care if I step on toes', or hurt someone's feelings: this has to be said. Some of the Guardians are hurting kids, children rely on them to much. The children can't protect their own, hope, wonder, and memories without some of the Guardians anymore.
I am a changeling, that mean's I have fae blood. That mean's I can see the Guardians' without needing to believe, this also mean's I, and others like me, drop off three of the Guardian's radar. These Guardian's are North, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. So, in my reality I haven't been visited by the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, or North since I was seven. I and others like me, have learned to protect our own memories, our own wonder, and our own hope.
Now what does this have to do with anything, I'll tell you. Since I had very little, to no contact with the Guardians- except for Sandy, and his dream sand- I had to learn how to hope, create my own wonder, and preserve my own memories. I grew up in a small town, in West Virginia; one of the poorest states in America. I was friends with both privileged, and under privileged kids. Children with abilities, and with out.
After being skipped for a few years, some of my friends, that share the same abilities, and I decided to create our own Easter egg hunt. We each painted our own eggs and got one of the older kids in our neighborhood to hide it for us, even though they weren't chocolate, even though they weren't from the Easter bunny, we had fun, we had hope. I understand that Spring and Easter represent new life, and hope that it brings. However, HOPE IS SOMETHING THAT CAN NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY! I know Bunny protects the hope of the children, but it's something only you can protect-no one else. I have been in situations where I have felt completely hopeless; however, I have tough myself to hope when everything seems hopeless. It's hard, I know. But it is something that we need to hold onto, no one else. When everything is dark, the light of hope will always be there to guide the way; you just need to find it first.
Around Christmas time, since some of my friends and I are not visited by North, we started to make presents for each other. We created our own wonder, without North. So what if we didn't get presents from North, we had our families. WONDER ISN'T GIVE IT'S CREATED AND SEEN! There is wonder everywhere! You just need to find it, or create it! I have learned to find the wonder in everything, it's in ourselves. Always will be, and we can protect it ourselves without anyone's help!
Just like with North and the Easter Bunny, I wasn't visited by Tooth as well. But you know what, after a while I did care! I know the Tooth Fairy's job is to collect and protect memories within baby teeth, so that when a child is lost or uncertain she can return the teeth to the child so they can remember their hopes and dreams. I learned that your memories are not just in your teeth, there in your heart. They well always be in your heart, you just need to find them! You can never truly forget them, those kinds of memories are unforgettable and no one, and I MEAN NO ONE can truly take them away.
THESE THREE GUARDIANS ARE DOING THE PROTECTING FOR THEM! THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PROTECT THEIR OWN HOPE, MEMORIES, AND WONDER!"
