Canon Appledusk: Shows genuine care and adoration for his mate. Saves his mate from the river and promises to save their children. Later finding out their true cause of death makes him decide to split from his mate due to skewers' perception due to grief.

Lmfao, every day this fandom explicitly reminds you that they're terrible at media literacy. How is it that Ravenwing's actions can be excused under the pretence that it's his job when it doesn't require or explicitly state that he needs to reveal the truth about these children? How does he get a pass for purposely being malicious against Mapleshade's kits?
How does Frecklewish get a pass for her behaviour after calling Mapleshade's kits slurs and being the first to demand their exile (these same people will often state that Mapleshade wasn't right in her grief-led actions but that Frecklewish is)?
Mapleshade's actions about lying about her kittens' heritage could be argued as selfish and cruel (though extremely understandable and no fault is given here), and yet selfishness is only applied to Appledusk for choosing to leave his mate because he views her as reckless since their children died. Both of their actions are selfish and yet they’re understandable and justified. They’re both making choices in favor of self preservation. And yet only one of them is called selfish or evil because of it. This fandom is unreal
