remus: the world doesn't revolve around you
sirius: pretty sure it does because the world revolves around the sun and the sun is a star and i'm named after a star so i'm a star so the world revolves around me
remus: who told you that
sirius:
sirius: james
Sirius: Moony, I made you a gift! Look!
Sirius: It's a bunch of marshmallow people! Look that's me, that's James, that's Peter...
Sirius: And that's you! Your crossing your arms because your annoyed by all the other marshmallows. Do you like it?
Remus, choking up: I-It's fine.

RIP Sirius Black, you would have loved stopping mid sentence to rush to the dance floor when a Lady Gaga song came on at the club

Harry’s First Birthday Party
This is the AU where everyone is alive and nothing hurts. It’s 20 July, 1980 just outside of London. Lily and James Potter are spending an evening together in the kitchen with their infant son, Harry, and a bottle of wine. James is trying his best to feed Harry, who is not entirely excited about having to sit in his high chair. Between spoonfuls of mush, James leans over towards Lily, who feeds him a bite of the pot roast she made for them both, followed by a kiss.
“Do you remember? It’s almost Harry’s birthday!” Lily mentions.
“Just a few weeks, yeah?”
“I’ve already asked everyone to come over. Marlene and Moony are coming, definitely.”
“Lils…I know it’s our son’s birthday, but are we going to have booze?”
“Of course we’re going to have booze, James! We’ll have beer and wine and I’m going to make a cake.”
James drops the spoon he’s using to feed Harry.
“Lils. let me make the cake,” he says, catching Lily off-guard. James flashes a proud smile, beaming with fatherly love. “The cake, Lily. Let me make it. It’s my first-born son’s first birthday, I want to make the cake!”
“Love, you don’t bake.”
“I can learn to bake a cake for my son, Lily! It will be great!”
The day of the party comes, and the Marauders and crew are all arriving. Peter and Moony are the last to arrive.
Peter arrives first and comes through the back door into the kitchen, where Lily is putting together another tray of cheeses and meats, finishing off her first glass of wine. She says hello and hugs Peter tight.
“How is James’s cake?” he asks.
“Somehow, he managed to turn it into more of a pudding. I’m not sure how he managed it. He says he’s proud of it but I’m not sure any of us can actually eat it…”
“You’re not surprised, though, are you?”
“Of course I’m not surprised, that’s why I asked if you’d bring a cake. He’d kill me if he knew I made a cake in case his didn’t come out.”
“So you asked me be the one that didn’t believe in James’ baking.”
“But you DON’T believe in James baking.”
Peter hands Lily a cardboard box with a beautiful vanilla cake with chocolate-hazelnut frosting inside. They put it on a platter and pull out a knife to cut it when Remus arrives through the same door. After the hellos and the hugs, Remus presents a cardboard box with a cake inside.
“What’s this?” Lily asks.
“Well, you mentioned James was making a cake. I don’t trust his baking so I made a cake so we could eat something sweet.”
They all laugh, and bring both cakes out to the party, where James has just set his own cake down on the table.
“Neither of you thought I could make a cake?! I can’t believe you, the both of you!! I can bake!”
“You know,” Peter begins, “baking is a lot like Potions. It’s very exact. And we know just how good you are with potions!”
