People are showing their library love in the strangest places!
2216 Druid Hill Avenue, 2019.
This is the former childhood home of Cab Calloway. I photographed it on Christmas morning last year, and finally getting around to editing it. Unfortunately, after a long fight to save and preserve this piece of history, the building, along with the entire block, was demolished earlier this year.
This year has been a challenge for sure, but I’m fortunate to still have a job and I was able to purchase my first home here in Baltimore. I haven’t photographed anything since March/April when everything shutdown, and really haven’t been thinking about the project that much, or art in general for that matter. I’ve just been focused on maintaining, staying healthy, and fixing up my rowhouse.
I’m starting to settle into winter, though, and want to catch up on what I shot earlier this year. Time to get the gears grinding again!
I hope everyone is doing as well as they can during these trying times!
Stay safe out there!
