fontaine flower language
rainbow rose - passion, romantic encounters
cliché i know. they're lilies, but used to grow with literal roses colored like the rainbow and stole their name when the actual-rainbow-roses went extinct. bruneau (a npc) sometimes asks you to give him 5 of them as part of the fontaine reputation quests and says it gives him confidence. lyney gives us one at the end of his story quest
lumidouce bell - parting, wish for reunion
"parsifal" (fontainian magician, not to be confused with the mondstadt one) once gave one to marfisa telling her it meant "hope" but that wasn't the case (and marfisa never knew even after she died). this flower also may be connected to hyperborea as it appears in coppelius' play about it and is called "weeping crystal". lyney also gives us one during his story quest, and at the end we get an arrangement of it + the rainbow rose that represents both passion and parting
romaritime flower - loyalty, unswerving oaths
fontainian folklore claims that it's a hydro spirit in love with egeria because it only blossoms when hit with hydro. erinnyes' flower from her artifact set, also called forgotten oath of days past, has little romaritime flowers on it
lakelight lily - waiting, everlasting promise
there's a tradition in fontaine where people give this to those on long journeys, it symbolizes wishing them a tranquil journey and to be able to return to them. it comes from a legend that egeria gave one to the last lochknight (i think that was erinnyes?) as a parting gift.
marcotte - purity, sincere care
unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a legend associated to that. it's mostly used by perfumers and for cooking today
pluie lotus doesn't have a defined meaning like the others. it was used by ancient natural philosophers to perform divinations but how they did it was lost to time. all we know is that based on the lotuses' growth, they could predict living souls' destinies and future
