Mark liked to remember them all – himself included – the way they were back then. Long before the divisions between them became so clear. Long before they started mattering at all. He’d turn to his memories and he’d mourn them like strangers that died far too soon. Childhood friends who never grew up. He no longer recognised them in the people they became.

or, hello, i'm writing a wkm fic! it explores the main four's early childhoods, teenagehoods, mark & celine's marriage, the affair, the fallout, the days leading up to the party... and eventually, it will end with some present-day darkstache scenes :))
