"The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself'." Mark 12:31 NIV
This is a great verse, but also one that a people pleaser, overdoer, "measure your worth based on all you do for others" person LIKE ME, uses to justify unhealthy behaviors and violate boundaries. Because I would lean into the beginning and ignore then end. "...as yourself".
Don't forget that second part, yes, help people and love them but don't do it to make yourself feel okay, bc then your help and love isn't about those you help, it's about YOU and how you can make yourself fill whatever hole you have in yourself.
Remember that you are loved and you don't have to work for it. It's already done. Family, friends, whatever higher power to which you connect. You are loved. More than you can possibly imagine.
