Album Number Two Hundred Forty Seven “Colors of the Day: The Best of Judy Collins”, (or simply Colors of the Day) is a compilation album by the American folk singer #judycollins, released in 1972. It peaked at No. 37 on the Billboard Pop Albums charts. My copy is on #elektrarecords- EKS-75030 It was produced by #MarkAbramson of Elektra Records and contains 12 tracks, including her U.S. top-forty hit cover of #jonimitchell's "#bothsidesnow", her recording of "Amazing Grace", #sandydenny's "Who Knows Where the Time Goes", and Collins' own composition "Albatross" (the latter two recordings were included in the film adaptation of The Subject Was Roses). It is her highest charting album to date, reaching No. 5 on the Billboard Pop Albums charts. It included her Top 10 hit version of #jonimitchell ‘s "Both Sides, Now". My copy is on Elektra Records - EKS 74012 The album was arranged by #joshuarifkin and produced by #markabramson . Collins' recording "Albatross" was used in the 1968 film adaptation of The Subject Was Roses. It was one of three self-penned tracks that appeared on the album, the first time that #judycollins wrote her own material.
