I know I know plenty but I still need to know more about Stryfewood tea fic 🥰
The cherry of Wolfwood's cigarette bobs in the darkness as he nods his head. "It's like that, after seein' something you wish you hadn't. Things get stuck." "The things I see aren't even the worst of it. What if… what if he really is gone forever? What if we never find him, and he's…" she sobs, unable to finish the sentence, and covers her face with the now-damp blanket. "Stryfe," Wolfwood says, voice sharp but not in an unkind way. There's movement against the wooden planks, and when he speaks next he sounds much closer. "Can't be thinkin' like that." "I can't help it," she whispers pathetically, voice wrecked from crying. "You can." The words come from right next to her, the only warning she gets before the porch swing jostles under Wolfwood's added weight. "Stampede's closer to a cockroach than a man. It'd take a lot more than this to put him under." It takes her a second to notice that the swing is rocking. She lifts her face from the blanket to find Wolfwood gently pushing them with one leg. His arms are spread along the back of the bench, but he's very carefully avoiding touching her. Or looking at her. "What if you're wrong?" "'M never wrong." She sniffles. "That's not true." "I ain't ever told a lie. 'Cept for that one," he says with a soft smile. "Listen. I believe Stampede is out there, and so he is. If ya can't believe it yourself, let me do the believin' for a while."
I haven't edited this yet but. Here you are!
VIII + Su-won and your choice!
Hello, Trai!!! Thank you so much for the prompt, I appreciate it a lot!! I decided to go with another platonic one for this one and go with Su-won&Yona&Hak! [written for this ask meme]
“Hmmm… That one looks like a dango!”
“It does,” Su-won said, grinning as he scanned the clouds rolling on by. It was hard to say which one Yona had pointed out, as many of the fluffy, round clouds looked like dango. He pointed, picking out one of the larger, narrower clouds. “That one looks like a rabbit!”
“Looks more like a hawk to me,” Hak replied.
Su-won squinted, tilting his head so he could look at the cloud from Hak’s angle. “I guess it does!”
Hak snickered, and the sound brought yet another smile to Su-won’s face. It was rare for him to have a carefree day with Yona and Hak like this. Between training with Hyuli, classes and studying with his private instructors, and his travels throughout the kingdom, Su-won didn’t find time to return to Hiryuu Castle very often. When he did, he was very seldom free.
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the work you're doing!! Making us the Meryl and Milly plushies is so kind of you and as a fic writer who does a lot of Meryl and Wolfwood friendship pieces, your new post-Dragon's Nest art of them is absolutely EVERYTHING. Thank you so much!! 💜
aaaah thank you so much!! it's made me so happy to see the excitement around the milly and meryl plushies and i can't wait to ship them home to everyone <3
meryl and wolfwood are such interesting characters considering their similar temperaments and experiences with vash, so i love exploring potential interactions since we didn't get to see much of it in trimax :,) i'm so glad that you enjoyed my artwork of them!
I just really laughed at your tag on the who's hotter poll. So many of us aces just chilling in the Trigun fandom 😂💜
Alkjasndlksjn I'm happy it did! XD Honestly, there's such a high concentration of aces in Trigun (and every color of queer folk tbh), it's wonderful!!!
Oh Nic is it your birthday?? Happy birthday!! 💙
Yes! As of fifty minutes ago I am now in my 30s, very exciting :)) Thank u!
I see you also got Fucked Up by All of Us Strangers, thank you for validating me 😂 Christ alive, do you ever think you're prepared for a movie and then come out of it like wow I just Was Not
oh i was crying off and on the whole movie! i went in prepared to do so tho bc i knew paul mescal had a scene on a dance floor which means it’s gonna be a sad time
spoilers for all of us strangers under the cut!
For the writer asks (I did a double take when I saw your reblog 😂 I'm a sucker for a good meme), because I always live in fear I'll repeat something someone else has already asked, can I ask for whichever one(s) you particularly want to answer but haven't been asked yet? 💙
🌈is there a fic that you worked *really fucking hard on* that no one would ever know? maybe a scene/theme you struggled with?
Sorry, y'all, I guess I'm on a SIEL kick today, but: Jesus Christ this fic almost destroyed me. With rare exception, I tend to write in an objectively horrific fashion whereby I go along writing out bits and pieces and leaving a bunch of holes (which could mean anything from missing words or sentence fragments all the way up to entire scenes or hunks of the story), and then on each repeated pass I fill in some holes and expand or revise what's already written, and then at some point I'm able to fill in the last holes and then it's time to edit and edit and edit and polish and polish and polish until at last it feels Right. This is a monstrous way to write and I do not recommend it to anyone, but alas, it's how I'm wired.
For the first two years or so (off and on), SIEL proceeded in much the same fashion. But then it got to a point where I'd pretty much filled in all the holes, there was nothing obviously missing, but it just...wasn't right. There weren't glaring neon-sign problems I could put my finger on, just this nagging dissatisfaction with the story as a whole. So, in an act of creative insanity, I ripped that nice tidy completed draft apart at the seams and fucked its shit all up again until at long (long) last it finally fit together the way I wanted it to. I won't get into specifics, because I don't think it especially benefits the reader's experience to get too detailed a look into how the sausage was made, but suffice it to say I reworked or even rewrote multiple chapters in something close to their entirety. I'm much happier with the end result and know now that this was definitely the right move, but my god, the moments of sheer existential despair I faced along the way. I'm breaking out in a cold sweat just thinking about it.
