Saint Charbel Makhlouf
1828-1898
Feast day: July 24
Saint Charbel, born in a small village in Lebanon, to a poor religious family, entered the Maronite Monastery of St. Maroun, (A Lebanese Maronite order) at 23 and was ordained a priest in1859. He served there for 16 years, then retired to the hermitage of Sts. Peter and Paul. Charbel lived a severe ascetic life of prayer, mortification, and self-denial and had a remarkable devotion to the Eucharist. He had a massive stroke while saying Mass on Christmas Eve and died 7 days later. For 45 days a bright light surrounded his tomb. The monks exhumed his body and it was found incorrupt. For approximately 62 years a viscous liquid came from his body. Many miracles are attributed to his intercession.

hey all I’m looking for a bit of advice,
Amongst my friends I’m known as the “holy one” or the “religious one” mind you all my friends are Catholic or orthodox.
Today my friend introduced me as this religious one and the other people with us started laughing (also Christian) they ended up making a groupchat as a joke ofc and were saying “hey it’s me (insert my irl name) I’m with the priest we are saying prayers” and my friend said let me add you. I told her no I’m so upset with their comments and actions
As much as I know it shouldn’t get to me I’m really upset because it hurts being teased for being religious and being invested into my faith. Low-key crying while writing this omd. Stuff like this always happens where people single me out because I’m so connected to my faith.
How does one go about this and am I overreacting?

btw pookies a more aesthetic intro for myself will be coming out hopefully shortly instead of that blab of words that I posted yesterday lol!
It will be titled Belle’s Intro and it’s gonna be pink so be prepared HEHE 🩷
Guys my grandmother gave me this beautiful pendant with Mother Mary on it and in the back she had her initials engraved into it! We also have the same initials so I was so touched! May the intercession of Our Lady protect her and everyone that’s calls upon her for strength!
Going on a Walk from my Church to another with the church community and MA FRIENDSSS on Friday next week and I’m SOOO EXCITEDDDDD 🥰🙏🏼
Ok good daily update? I think so!
BYE LOVELIESSSSS 🫶🏻
Just out of curiosity! What’s everyone’s favourite Bible quote or parable, book, etc. I’ll start first!!!
My favourite verse is Romans 8:31! My favourite book is Revelation!
I would love to hear everyone else’s preferences because sometimes when I read my Bible I miss certain things also I thought this would be such a wholesome way to bond and connect with my brothers and sisters in Christ!
God bless lovelies <3<3<3
I feel like this is something that isn’t spoken about too much, but growing up being heavily involved with the church and having a strong relationship with Christ has made it really hard to find friends that share those qualities as well! It also made it hard to remain friends with certain people and sometimes I worry whether the people I care for now are going to lead me towards Christ or not!
A part of me always felt lonely or even there were times where I felt I didn’t truly belong in a group of friends, and it’s crazy how God answered my prayers instantly when asking him to remove people in my life who would distance me from Him! Honestly shows the power of prayer!
Regardless I’m honestly so grateful for my current friends, they bring me closer to Christ and I love bringing them with me to church events like the Holy Thursday 7 Churches Pilgrimage, which we had a blast and it was so beautiful (I recommend everyone to go)! Even though they may be at a different stage in their relationship with Christ than I am, I’m still grateful that I have people in my life who love Jesus and want a relationship with Him like I do! 🤍
But I always love making new friends of faith! <3
Especially people who are very close with God, I find I connect and truly feel accepted with them!
