Redesign for the flag of the City of Maroondah, Melbourne, Victoria

from /r/vexillology Top comment: If there is anything particularly notable about Maroondah, and that unifies the entire area, is its heavily forested suburban environment, and how that influences the community in the area. Therefore, the majority of the flag is a dark green, which is meant to relate to the trees of the area. The gold is meant to represent the farming and agricultural history of the area, as well as the future prosperity, whilst the blue represents the creeks and lakes present, as well as the loyal history of Maroondah. They are bound together to reference how both Maroondah is built by both its future and its past. Additionally, the shapes make a reference to the Ringwood Clock Tower, a significant landmark of the region. The leaf in the shape of an M is part of the Maroondah logo currently, and I think also a secondary reference of the flag to the nature of the city, particularly the gum trees. Same as with Whitehorse, I could not find a good copy of the Maroondah flag, so I referenced an image from outside a police precinct building to recreate the current flag. So yeah, tell me what you think. This isn’t my favourite, but I think it is still kind of nice.
