@steampunk-archer requested Martin and Clarissa on another Earth. I honestly didn’t know what I was going to do, until I saw that picture of Isabella Hofmann on the right. Immediately, this idea was born. - On Earth 40, Martin Stein is an esteemed detective with the FBI. Despite what people think, he has no objections to his new partner being a woman. However, he does object to Clarissa. Granted, her cheerful attitude cheers up the workplace a bit, but her carefree spirit and playful attitude feel entirely out of place in such a serious business. Maybe she occasionally makes him smile, but she really needs to take life more seriously. And if she asks about aliens one more time…. (He just might kiss her.) - Edit is mine! I hope you enjoyed!

Hi! I was just wondering if you're still taking requests, and if you are, could you possibly do one for Legends with Martin/Clarissa where Clarissa dies instead of Martin and how he'd react to it? I just really love your writing and I'd love to see your take on this, and how you think it'd play out! Thanks a whole bunch and keep being awesome!

“Grey!”

Martin turned around to see Jax running into the cortex as fast as he could. He leaned on the desk, gasping for breath. It looked like he had just run a half marathon to reach him. Caitlin and Lily hurried out of the adjacent room towards him.

“Jefferson?” Martin helped him stand upright. “What’s wrong? What happened?”

“Dominators…started attacking,” Jax coughed. “They hit a neighborhood…Clarissa-”

The sound of his wife’s name sent panic through Martin. “Is she okay?”

“Dunno,” Jax shook his head. “I ran over here as fast as I could. We gotta go.”

“Yes, yes, immediately,” Martin held out his hand before turning back to the two women. “Keep searching for a method to disable the Dominators.”

“I’m coming with you,” Lily said firmly. “Dad, Mom’s in trouble, I can’t do nothing.”

“It’s not safe,” Martin said. “Stay here with Caitlin.”

He turned back to Jax and fused into Firestorm with the younger man before they flew out of the lab.

“How come she’s calling you Dad and Clarissa Mom?” Jax asked.

“That’s a conversation for another time. Right now we have to save Clarissa!”

The Stein home had a massive smoking crater in it by the time Firestorm reached it. All the heroes present had already dealt with the remaining Dominators. The army was aiding residents of the neighborhood nearby. However, there was no sign of Clarissa among them.

Martin unmerged from Jax and took off towards his home. He grabbed the stone where the key was hiding under and unlocked the door. The house was in shambles. Wood splinters were scattered all over the entry way. A picture that must have been hanging from the wall lay in shattered glass on the floor. Martin could see it was a picture of himself, Clarissa, and a young girl who must have been his daughter standing in front of a zoo. 

“Help…”

He tore himself from the picture and hurried into the living room. Most of the sky was now visible through the ceiling. Debris was scattered all around the floor. By the couch, Clarissa was lying on the floor with her lower half with part of the ceiling. Her face was pale and red was staining the floor.

“Clarissa!” Martin bent down beside her. Jax bounded up next to him to get the debris off. As they did, they found a large shard of wood penetrated in her stomach. Clarissa gazed down at it before looking back up at them.

“So that’s what it was,” she murmured. “Huh.”

“Oh, Clarissa,” Martin murmured. “Just hang on. We’ll get help.”

“It’s too late,” she shook her head. “Too much blood. They can’t save me.”

“No,” Martin wouldn’t accept that. “No, you have to hold on. Clarissa, please! Please don’t leave me!”

“Martin,” she smiled. “It’s okay.”

“No, no it’s not.”

Her eyes began to flutter closed.

“Clarissa, don’t.”

She went limp. Martin reached forward to cradle her face. He couldn’t feel a pulse when he tried to find one. Slowly, tears started to fall down his face.

“No,” he cried. “No.”

He heard Jax breathing heavily behind him and knew he was crying too. It wasn’t fair that this was happening to her. He had always done everything to protect Clarissa. Now he had failed in the worst possible way. Clarissa died because he hadn’t been fast enough to develop something to counter the Dominators.

“We have to win,” Jax told him. “We have to win now.”

Martin nodded. “They are going to pay for what they have done.”

Title: New Years kisses

It was New Year’s Eve and all the Legends were aboard the Waverider enjoying the holiday with loved ones.

“This is the best holiday ever.” Mick said as he downed another beer. “Alcohol is a must.”

Stein rolled his eyes as his daughter laughed.

“Go easy on the beer big guy.” Lily’s boyfriend Ray told his fellow legend. “At midnight, after we kiss then we are all going to toast the new year with champagne.”

Mick wrinkled his nose

“I don’t have to kiss you? Do I haircut?”

“Nope... oh please don’t.” The Atom replied as he offered his soon to be mother in law a tray of food.

Clarissa thanked him and laughed at the two.

“You two are like brothers.”

Mick shook his head. “He is kinda annoying. Nope, Pretty and haircut are like brothers.. it’s really annoying ”

Nate smiled “bro hug!” He and Ray hugged; patting each other on the back.

Sara leaned into Lenard “well here’s to family; annoying brothers and all.” She raised her glass of wine and was met with many cheers.

“It’s almost midnight.” Ray told Lily as he handed her a glass of champagne. “You know, we could stay here aboard the wave rider for the night. Gideon and rip are going to spend the night elsewhere.”

Lily smiled “that sounds nice, Ronnie is going to be with his father for the next few days.” She kissed him and noticed how his lips tasted like champagne.

“Martin, I’m feeling a bit.. rebellious tonight. How about we get a hotel room later.” Clarissa kissed her husband.

“Really? I think that’s a great idea, my love.” He kissed her back a bit longer.

“Ewww.. mom and Dad are kissing “ Nate covered his eyes and Ray’s

Amaya shook her head as the others laughed.

“Your so juvenile, Nathaniel.”

Nate only smiled.

“Ok everyone, it’s almost time!” Sara exclaimed happily and they all started counting down.. except Mick who was enjoying the plate of pigs in a blanket.

“Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four! Three! Two! One! Happy new year!!!” The Legends all cried at once.

The couples all kissed and everyone toasted the new year.

Amya kissed Mick on the cheek. “Happy new year, Mick.”

Heatwave only grunted. “Happy new year.” He mumbled and downed his champagne in one gulp. “To family!” He cried “now someone get me another glass.”

1: Who makes the other hot chocolate?

Raily: Ray makes if for Lily, he spoils her

Timeship: Rip makes Gideon hot chocolate because she loves it (and is hopeless in the kitchen

Martissa: Clarissa makes hot chocolate for Martin when he overworks himself

2: Who knits the other a seasonal sweater?

Raily: I feel like Lily is a knitter

Timeship: Rip, his mother taught him how to knit. And Gideon insists that ugly Christmas sweaters are a real thing

Martissa: Clarissa, she also probably also taught Lily to knit. Stein family sweaters are a thing! (Jax totally gets one as well, this is important...Cait too!)

3: Who’s family hosts a bigger holiday gathering? What’s the gathering like for your OTP?

Raily: So Ray is more of the ‘spend money and make it fancy type’ where as Lily’s family goes all out for Hanukkah and invites Team Flash and Legends

Timeship: Neither. They really only have each other, there’s the Legends true. But when the holidays come around Rip just likes to spend it alone with Gideon while the Legends visit their families

Martissa: They’re married so...they invite team flash and legends and its one big party

4: How would your OTP react to having a snow day?

Raily: Snowball fight!!!

Timeship: Gideon loves it to no end. She has like made it snow onboard as well she loves snow so much. Rip begrudgingly goes along with it out of his love for her

Martissa: Clarissa convinces Martin to take a walk with her in the snow

5: Who offers the other one their jacket?

Hmmmm, Ray offers Lily, Rip offers Gideon (she drowns in the duster) Clarissa is competent enough to bring her own jacket

6: Who makes a snowman that looks like the other member of your OTP, or do they both do this?

Raily: They both do, it’s a contest

Timeship: Gideon makes it look like Rip and let me tell you he is not impressed (her sculpting skills were on point but it was more the concept in general he disagreed with)

Martissa: Hmmm, probably also a contest of skills

7: Does your OTP ever have snowball fights?

Raily does it for fun. Gideon starts it for Timeship so Rip retaliates. Martissa does not (unless Jax and Lily make them)

8: What gifts would they get each other for the holidays?

Raily: Ray goes over the top with gifts, like full out all expense paid trips and stuff. Lily gets him musicals or helps him with a science problem

Timeship: As an AI, Gideon always got stuff for Rip’s family-toys for Jonas, paint supplies for Miranda. There isn’t much Rip could do for Gideon as an AI. As a human she loves Christmas, so Rip does his best to decorate and give her traditions he knows she’ll love

Martissa: Clarissa gets Martin a mug for Hanukkah that says something like ‘world’s best husband’ (he drinks out of it every day) Martin gets Clarissa knitting patterns or a night off that they just spend together

9: How do they spend their winter holiday? Do they even celebrate the same holiday?

Raily: I honestly cannot remember what Ray is canonically. So I’m gonna say they’re both Jewish and celebrate Hanukkah with the Steins

Timeship: Rip isn’t that big on the holiday season without his family. But he and Gideon decorate the Waverider and it’s just the two of them and spend time together

Martissa: Big huge holiday/Hanukkah party for Team Legends and Flash

10: What sort of seasonal treats does your OTP like to eat?

Raily: Ray goes for anything chocolate

Timeship: Gideon is just all about sweets. She demands Rip to bake everything for her. (Rip likes to make gingerbread houses like he used to with Jonas)

Martissa: They’re not big on sweet treats and Jax gives them hell over it

11: How do they spend New Year’s Eve?

Raily: Ray has a party prepared with Team Arrow

Timeship: They don’t really do anything. They’re always on a timeship so they don’t realize when it is the New Years...Gideon probably does fireworks anyways

Martissa: They’d much rather sit at home without all the fuss and watch the ball drop on TV

12: Who initiates the New Year’s kiss?

Raily: Lily (she insists it’s for good luck)

Timeship: Rip

Martissa: It’s mutual

13: Who tries to get a secret gift for the other one for Valentine’s Day?

Raily: Ray, except he can’t keep a secret to save his life

Timeship: Gideon probably tries to do something handmade but turns out she’s better with a fabricator (Rip doesn’t care, he loves everything from her)

Martissa: Clarissa, she’s always doing little surprises like this for Martin

14: Would your OTP take a walk together in the snow?

Yes, all of them

15: Which one gets more excited over the first snow of winter?

Raily: They both do

Timeship: Gideon does. She’s never experienced it before and she’s constantly amazed by its beauty. They probably have a kiss in the snow

Martissa: Clarissa, she loves the first snowfall and drags Martin out

Title: so special I don't own DC's Legends of tomorrow or it's characters Summary: #43 "your special to me" Much Raily fluff --- Lily and Ray were sitting in the galley of the Waverider. It was Lily's birthday and they had given her a surprise party. It was a week before her actual birthday; according to Martin, Lily would have been suspicious if It was any closer to her actual birthday. Party remnants were scattered all around the galley. Plates, cups, wrapping paper and left over food. "Mm, this cake is so good." Lily remarked at the yellow cake with coffee icing. "I'm glad you like it." Ray remarked as he poured himself and Lily each a glass of champagne. "Is it a Gideon special?" The birthday girl asked as she swiped a finger across her slice; savoring the icing. The ATOM shook his head after taking a drink. "Nope, I made it." Lily set down her glass down and looked at him shocked. "You made it? " "That's right, science princess." He winked at her and Lily wondered if he saw her blush. "From scratch.. " he took a hold of her hand and looked her in the eyes. "I wanted to do something nice for your birthday." He paused and smiled. "Your special to me." He wondered if she could see him blush. "That's very thoughtful of you, Ray... your special to me too." "Lily, I want to kiss you...." Ray started to say but was cut off when Martin and Clarissa entered the galley. "Clarissa, I'm just saying that it would be better if she stayed here with you." Both lily and Ray sat back in their chairs in surprise. "Raymond, help me tell my wife and daughter why it is not a good idea for Lily to travel on the waverider with us" Clarissa sighed. "Martin, it's only for a little while and history is not in immediate danger right now. She wants to travel with you and the other Legends for a bit." She glared at him "you promised her whatever she wanted for her birthday and this is it." The older woman looked between her child and Ray. "Besides, I think everyone would enjoy having her around." Clarissa smiled at her daughter. Martin, who was oblivious to what was going on continued after getting himself a slice of cake. "As much as i would love to have you here with us, lily.. I wouldn't want you to get hurt. Time travel is dangerous." "Professor, I think it's a good idea." rRay piped up. "Lily is very smart and Sara has started teaching her how to fight.. she'd be an assist to the team." Martin set his fork down and looked at his companions. "I get it now, your all trying to kill me.. cause I will not survive worrying about my daughter the whole time she is aboard." Clarissa rolled her eyes. "Don't be so dramatic, Martin." "It'll be ok, daddy. I'm a big girl and can take care of myself." She got up and stood next to her father's chair. "Besides I know everyone here will keep me safe. " she looked at Ray who only managed to nod. "Well, alright... I did promise you. " Lily smiled happily; as did Ray. "Thank you, dad." She bent down and kissed the him on the cheek. When Ray and Lily left , Clarissa sat next to her husband and they shared his slice of cake. "I've become soft in my old age, Clarissa." His wife only smiled
