The Bloody Life of R M Renfield by Marty Ross. An original Horror Audio Drama from Wireless Theatre Ltd based on the fascinating character o
If there’s one character in Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula as fascinating as the arch vampire himself, it’s R.M. Renfield the zoophagous patient in Dr. Seward’s mental hospital, who has fallen under the vampire’s spell. But Stoker provides no explanation of how Renfield came to be imprisoned, nor of the origins of his strange relationship with his Master.
Marty Ross’s audio drama imagines a whole back story for the character – the story of a tragically ordinary Victorian shopkeeper, stuck looking after ageing parents and prone to a furtive fascination with blood.
Desperate for relief, he goes for a holiday in Whitby, on the Yorkshire Coast, where he experiences premonitions of a vast supernatural power approaching across the sea, a force that will bring meaning to his life, but only of the most terrible sort.
TRIGGER WARNINGS
Blood, violence and father to son domestic abuse , reference to marital domestic abuse, murder, drowning, coarse language, sexual reference, depiction of dementia, factory accident, cut throat razor, close shaving, death, depiction of insanity.
Writer, Marty Ross has written several gothic dramas for Wireless Theatre, from Blood And Stone to The Woman On The Bridge and Night Of The Orchid.
Here, working again with two of Britain’s foremost audio actors, Harry Myers and Sarah Whitehouse, Ross combines the darkest of dark humour with the most poignant, devastating tragedy, in a production that takes listeners, immersively, inside a very troubled and dangerous mind….

New Monkees members
These are the new monkees, they only had one album and are an interesting point in monkees history.
the members are:
Jared Chandler: Guitarist, singer and also has a dog called Poochie
yes I know it’s low quality but still
Marty Ross: pianist and cloudcuckoolander (one of their best episodes is about Marty cloning himself)
Larry Saltis: Gutarist and both a mommas boy and a lover boy, rocks a great mullet.
Dino Kovas: Drummer and not the smartest out of the four
The Show only ran for 13 episodes due to backlash from the Monkees fandom. It is however an interesting show to look at and observe.
Obligatory Introduction Post
Hi hello yes I decided to make a devoted blog specifically for Monkees content (and to keep my main blog uncluttered, @s0r3wach1gauy0 )
Anyways, hewwo monkees tumblr I'm in the process of becoming knowledgeable so if I make mistakes about factual stuff I apologize and will try to correct it...
Oh yeah I should probably briefly explain how I even got into the Monkees anyways. Basically I went pretty much backwards by starting with Head, watching 33 1/3 Monkees per revolution, then I'm working my way through the tv show.
Yes I'm primarily a Davy fan, since uh hi look at him and hear his voice. Micky is also a fantastic singer and overall a goofball and I appreciate it. I can't forget about Mike's drawl though and the way he winks and...okay so I like men, but I think in the long run, Davy's The Man, y'know?
I am heavily into tagging the content I find so the tags I will use are primarily #davy jones, #micky dolenz, #mike nesmith, #peter tork, and for whole group stuff, #the monkees. This is so if you want to find content of your lad of choice, you will find him. If you don't want to see particular content, block the tag. I have some other tags that either are schedule tags like #micky monday, #tunes tuesday, and so on that I've explained in my first post of new tags I specifically started. If I feel like posting a review of some sort, that's classified under #mod's opinions. I can't say for sure that I will not be simping for well, the boys since it literally says it in the name of the blog but I try to keep it in the tags. If I cannot contain myself, that's why the tag #mod simps exists.
Also
I have commentary in the tags and yes, that's normal for this blog, consider them something like footnotes. I won't have it for every post, sometimes my brain is empty. I do have some tags that I use to group themed photos, like The Suit™ meaning the Nudie suit Mike wears.
Also feel free to drop in and say hi, infodump, and if desired, just squeal over the lads is always appreciated in my askbox. I'm sure they'd like it too.
All of my love for the boys,
Sage<3
P.S: I do have pinterest boards for everyone (except the New Monkees bc no one posts pics of them on there 😮💨) it's not the most organized and there's probably duplicate images on there, but I do try 😅

My Top 10 Reads/Audioboks of 2020
...in ascending order.
6. The Three Musketeers by Marty Ross, based on Alexandre Dumas
My tumblr is bursting with Musketeers, so it shouldn’t come as any surprise that there are Musketeers books/audiobooks in this year’s top ten.
This audio drama is a highly entertaining adaption that largely follows the plot of the first novel: d’Artagnan joins the Musketeers and becomes best buds with Athos, Aramis and Porthos. Together, they embark on a mission to recover the Queen’s jewels and save her from wrath and ruin while Athos’ not-dead wife hatches a revenge plot.
The audio drama is perfectly produced: great cast, good sound effects and a deeper focus on action than the novel would suggest.
Marty Ross gives it a special twist: the story is told from Milady’s point of view, making us question whether this femme fatale wasn’t, in the end, a product of male abuse of power.
However, this twist doesn’t distort the original story too much. Its swashbuckling, adventurous spirit remains fully intact as it brings across the drive, the charm and the drama of Dumas’ novel.
