This poll includes characters that I consider ACTUAL members of SHIELD. No Grant Ward because FUUUUUUUCK that guy and no members that were thrown in or were side characters for no more than a season. So...Sorry.
I need someone to write a Time Travel fic with Daisy Johnson chilling with the season 1 team, except it’s absolutely not chill, but she can’t let anyone know that.
Like, the team gets a mission early on that accidentally brings future Daisy to the past or Daisy gets into something that sends her back, idk, and she spends the early parts of season 1 with them.
I’m just imagining Skye and everyone else reacting to Daisy Johnson, the destroyer of worlds, all around badass and wondering genuinely what the fuck happened. At some point they realize that anything they change in the past cannot change Daisy’s timeline because of the branching timelines thing, so she’s free to change things.
Before that, though, she has to make an effort to not impact the timeline, which leads to her staying with the team. It’s hard for her hide her hatred for Ward and her powers, so instead of trying to act exactly like Skye, she tries to maintain equal distance from all of them. It kind of works, she’s still kind of shakey around FitzSimmons and guilty around Coulson, so she ends up spending a lot of time with May, avoiding everyone, especially Skye.
She manages to get May to teach her how to fly because genuinely why was May her SO and she didn’t know how to???
The moment they finally confirm that her timeline is separate from theirs (after already changing absolutely too much, but they don’t know that) she immediately quakes Ward into a wall and knocks him out. Everyone is understandably startled by this.
Some ideas for missions include:
Daisy giving Skye advice on how to act at Quinn’s party without trying to change too much
Daisy joins the extraction team in episode 3 instead of Coulson… with Ward
Daisy joins the Extraction team with Coulson… and Ward
Either option, she absorbs the gravitonium’s “quakes” instinctively, which causes her problems™️
Daisy keeping Simmons from getting Zapped by the Chitari virus, but still making sure she knows how to make the vaccine
Agreeing to spar with Ward 1 time and “accidentally” braking his nose
Daisy randomly dropping scientific knowledge that she’s picked up from FitzSimmons, only realizing how much she’s picked up when everyone’s staring at her shocked
Waking up to do Tai Chi with May and then kind of getting offended that Skye isn’t there, so waking her up and making her do it too, with the justification of “you’ll do it eventually, I’m just speeding up the process”
No one can sneak up on her. Literally no one. Not Coulson, not May, and definitely not Ward. She could be dead asleep, but the moment someone gets within 10 feet of her, she’s awake. They don’t know how she does it.
The rage staff episode has two possibilities for me:
First, Ward is still trusted. She stops him from ever grabbing the staff in the first place, but accidentally grabs it herself. It’s bad, really really bad. This is how they discover she has powers. The ground cracks and shakes beneath her feet. They wonder whether they can trust her knowing how much damage she can cause.
Option 2, post-detaining Ward, they’re figuring out how to deal with Hydra, when this comes up. Daisy knows to wear gloves when handling the staff and warns everyone else. At this point they know she has powers, but not the full scale of them. She loses 1 or both of the gloves during a fight and is forced to touch the staff. The ground shakes and her rage throws her attackers away from her in a wave. She collapses half the church and causes a large earthquake. It’s terrifying and the team wonders what the hell has happened to Daisy to make her react like that.
…anyway, that’s all I have so far. I just- I’m always thinking about how much Daisy’s changed from season 1 to 7, honestly even to s2, but this works better further removed because she won’t remember as well. She’s just so different and I wonder how things would be if she were like that in the beginning.

She said the quote that's in the nomination form's title, she died 15 times in 7x09 before the episode even started, then several more times after that while dealing with a time loop. In the final episode of the show she sacrifices herself, dies in space, and is brought back to life by her formerly dead sister (although this is a version of her that never died so I won't nominate her too)

I still can't believe ward dropped fitzsimmons in the fucking ocean. I still think about that to this day since I watched that scene. Like he just saw them trapped in a box and let them fall thousands of feet into the fucking ocean. Wow.
