a/n: omg i’m so sorry for how late this is. i have been super busy with work because disney has been working me very hard but i am so excited to be down here and am having a blast (with occasional crying fits because i do miss my fam). i am v excited to get this out though for you all that have been waiting. hopefully you won’t have to wait much longer for book 2. love y’all

     “How about you loosen up? You won’t be able to control your extraordinary powers if you continue to freak out over the simplest thing.” Thunder. “That’s what I mean. You’re not even trying.”

     You grew agitated since you’ve been here for four months and still had no idea how to gain full control of your powers. Ever since the fight against your father and plummeting from thousands of feet in the sky, you lost all of the control you had over your powers. “Thor...I am trying.” It was like every attempt at trying to finally take control of your powers had failed. Every time you thought you finally had control, all of your powers had slipped from your fingertips. Thor was really trying and so were you. After a while, you were starting to lose your patience but Thor’s patience didn’t waiver. You sat down on the rocky, yellow pulsating ground, longing to feel the power in your hands and your mind. You were too distracted to notice a light bulb go off in Thor’s head. He started to chuckle, loudly and that left you confused. “What are you laughing about?” you questioned, standing up.

     “I can’t believe I never thought of this.”

     “Thought about what?” you interrogated, raising your eyebrow. You knew Thor took some getting used to since his personality was very refreshing compared to the dry personalities on Earth. “What, Thor?”

     Thor continued to belly laugh, rubbing his hands together. He picked up his hammer and walked up to you. “You know that weird thing that Lady Redhead does with her hands?”

    “You mean Wanda, right?”

    “Yes! Lady Wanda Wright,” he bellowed, spinning his hammer. “She uses her hands to control her power. I use my marvelous hammer. Of course, your hands will need your mind for assistance but we can think of some creative things to do with those hands.” You chuckled and he looked at you questioningly, halting his hammer. When he asked why you were giggling to yourself, you tried to explain but he didn’t understand.

    You had built a strong relationship with Thor these past few months, ever since you landed on whatever planet this was. What you did know was that this planet looked like the same rock you drunkenly fell on a few years ago, so it was definitely familiar. Thor has been here to help you and you made a deal with him. Once you fully gained control over your powers, he would send you back to Earth. And you thought it would happen quickly, but here you are months later, listening to Thor’s booming voice and continuing to fail at your attempts to control your powers.

     At first, Thor said he would just send you back, but you decided against it. If this planet was so familiar, maybe you could gain full control. Before when you fought against your father, you thought that was full control. But maybe there was more to your abilities and this was the place to do it. Thor insisted on helping you every single day and that is how you came up with this deal. Also, the second part of the deal was that you would finally take a sip of some very strong Asgardian alcohol. It was the least you could do.

     Thor grasped your hands, “In order to use these, you must control your mind.”

    “Hey, Thor...have you ever thought about cutting off your hair?”

    Thor groaned, dropping your hands. “Focus!” he boomed, almost vibrating the entire planet. You jumped and shot your hands out, wind sending Thor to go flying a few hundred feet away. You stood there stunned and Thor got up instantly, cheering and clapping his hands. You shot out your hands again, this time facing yourself and hoping for lighter wind. Thankfully, the wind blew in your face softly, sending your hair around in different places.

     Thor ran up to you and you jumped in his arms as he gave you the biggest hug. You were too excited to notice all of the air being sucked out of you by Thor’s massive arms and strength. He noticed you choking to breathe and dropped you, leading you to gasp for breath but still excitedly bounce up and down. “You did it, Lady Y/N! I am proud!”

     “Ah, thanks, Thor! Sorry for sending you flying-.”

     “Yeah, let’s not talk about that.” Thor grinned, slamming a hand on your shoulder to give you a congratulatory shake. “I’m a very proud Thor. You’re the best thing I’ve met in this galaxy.”

     “Well, hopefully, you don’t end up meeting some weird ass people that say they defend the galaxy or something. They’ll definitely beat me in that competition.”

     Thor chuckled. “Wait until you have full control. Let’s keep practicing.”
