hey everyone, I was wondering whether there was a good shop to get bandanas from that supports Jewish people?
I'm not Jewish myself but want to support like actual people rather than the money going to something like Amazon
when I'm dressed like a teenage boy and going for teenage boy vibes and then i put on my veil and suddenly I'm serving pretty princess💔
Does anyone know where I can find some pride flag colored headcoverings? I found a couple on Pinterest, but only in rainbow, and I kinda want a nonbinary/genderfluid/or genderqueer one. Maybe I could make my own, but I don't know how to sew.
Might be going to my first pride event this year and I really want to veil if I'm going to be around so many people. I do have a couple of headscarves already if I can't find anything new, but It'd be nice to have more, and on theme.
Hey, we talked the other day about my goofy autistic quaker boyfriend, I just wanted to say, I started wearing bandana and scarves and such about a year ago, less as a modesty thing, and more as a simplicity thing, in that my hair is really frizzy and difficult to care for, so instead of letting it take up space in my life that I COULD use for happier things, which turn my attention toward the light, I just cut my hair short, and started wearing pretty fabric instead. I was never happy with my hair before, and I have a very high forehead, so I'm much more confident and happy with my coverings. It's taken my attention away for my apperceive, and allowed me to more time to focus on my actions (let my life speak, if you will). And it's great, because unlike hair dye, I can change the color or style any time I want! Anyways, I haven't met any other people so far that wear head coverings for that reason, so I thought I'd share that unique spiritual reason with you.
Thank you so much for sharing! That is definitely a wonderful reason to veil, and I love hearing about different people’s reasons for veiling! I find it so fascinating that we can have polar opposite relationships to our hair (me viewing it as incredibly spiritual for me and putting a lot of effort into it versus you feeling it’s a distraction and wanting to make it take up as little time as possible) and get to share a practice! Also of course thinking about Mr. Goofy Autistic Quaker Boyfriend who we all know and love and his spiritual reasons for doing his dressing choices and how we’re both so similar and so different. Anyways! Thanks again for sharing, this was delightful to read! I hope you continue to get so much joy out of your headscarves!
