Hi, I hope you're doing well where you are! I'm for BLM and not a day go by that I haven't worried about my dear friends. I had a realization though, once BLM achieves their goal (and soon!), can we hope that we can reform the entire welfare and disability system too? I hate having to juggle between whether or not I risk losing my disability check and insurance to get a job with more steep cost (losing insurance)-and I'm not the only one! There's so wrong with the current system. Thoughts?

I think you’re absolutely right, and yes, there are other issues - including welfare and disability stuff that we need to also keep in mind. People with disabilities, specifically those on SSI disability, cannot have over $2000 USD in asset at any time. This is incredibly unfair! 

In many ways, fighting back against the system affects a lot of different problems. Police brutality is also a huge issue for people with disabilities - and those with disabilities are disproportionately affected by police violence! 

Lots of things to keep in mind - this is a many-headed monster.

About those LBGT+ glitters, please tell me they're environmentally friendly and wholly guilt free? We fantastic peeps are gotta to want to glitter bomb some people 😂

Absolutely - they’re all seaweed-based glitters which are eco-friendly and will not pollute the oceans! 

But for real though - plastic glitter is ridiculously bad for the environment and I’m wholly against it. 

I just wanted to keep in the spirit of the Steven Bomb thing - but er... real bombs are even worse than glitter ones, so we’re, you know, working with what we’ve got.

honestly though, shit like this is kind of what i’m talking about by fringe movements snapping up the disenfranchised when they feel alienated by what any of us would consider to be their own communities. 

in a weird sort of way, i get it -- i’m mixed as hell too. i’m not black enough for black people to consider me a part of their communities, i’m not korean enough for the korean communities to want me around (don’t even speak the damn language properly), i’m an atheist, which tends to make spiritual jews uncomfortable (with the cultural aspect of judaism, something i do consider myself, dying out more and more as cultural assimilation progresses)... but abandoning any of these parts of myself won’t do me a damn bit of good, because i sure as shit don’t look white, so i’m hardly going to be able to integrate into that cultural identity and reap the rewards of belonging to any sort of established social majority, now am i.

like, imagine that one girl in your high school that claimed to be one sixty-fourth cherokee, only every other sixty-fourth you have is another tribe that you also aren’t enough of to claim to be and even remotely be taken seriously. 

so in the end, where does that leave people like me?

In terms of crossovers with Kagome, ending up in other ‘verses through the well was a revolutionary breakthrough for everything that wasn’t based in present day Tokyo or Present Day in general.

But now, I don’t know, there is the fact that is just seems tired and overly used just because I unconsciously half ass skim over the parts of the fics where the well fucked up, her reaction to a new world, etc. 

I get it! I do! But I’m already expecting it so I just skip to the parts that are different.

It just feels like we, as writers, could do more than ‘Kagome jumps into well and ends up in different place’. 

Crossovers are already AU’s/Canon Divergent, let’s go crazy with it! 

Kagome-Naruto crossovers touch on this a lot by having her as the biological child of someone in ‘verse. (Uzumaki!Kagome, Uchiha!Kagome, I think the rare Hyuuga!Kagome, I’ve seen a few Jinchuuriki!Kagome, Subaku!Kagome, Nara!Kagome, etc.)

C. Reverie has touched on it by making Kagome an Altean in a Kagome-Voltron or two crossovers. 

Beautiful Phantom ( @masquerabe ) has made a nice once-human-now-demon!Kagome (I believe, as much as I’m not interested in Black Butler, as a good friend, I try to remember details about fics) that is a nice twist.

RainLily13 ( @zefyre​ ) has done such a god damn breathtaking twist with Witch!Kagome in her Kagome-HP fic.

Sweet Cinnabun ( @peachbunniii ) has got some beautiful, I-will-die-for-every-bit-they-gift-me-with ideas concerning BnHA crossovers and Yuri!!! on Ice crossovers. (We both die over enthusiastic consent non-dystopian abo fics).

I just realized how off topic I kind of maybe sort of got concerning how Kagome ends up in ‘verse to other worlds and all.

!!!!!!!! first one to jump to mind is tsukishima kei from haikyuu!!! started out thinking he was such a prickly prick and ended up loving him to pieces by the end of season 3! s2 and s3 especially has so, so, so many amazing moments for tsukki, i died. aaaaaa i still really want to write a tsukkikag fic *looks longingly at my pile of half-written scenes and ideas*
