The Hypnotic Banquet of the Gods

They sit there under studio lights, smiling as if they’ve been fed the nectar of Olympus, drunk on the invisible wine of distraction. I watch them with the sound off. Their mouths move, their hands gesture, their eyes sparkle in artificial delight.

They speak of fashion, of “style,” of opening bells on a dying stock exchange — as if these fragments of a collapsing world were treasures to be cherished. The screen glows, not with knowledge, but with a theatre of sedation.

And I realize: I’m not here to listen. I’m here to witness the bizarre choreography of a world walking willingly into its own slaughterhouse. It’s not even tragic anymore. It’s almost beautiful, in the same way a poisonous flower is beautiful: lethal, seductive, inevitable.

Ignorance has an aesthetic. It’s manicured smiles and manufactured trends. It’s a hypnotic banquet, where the gods serve emptiness on silver plates, and the masses eat it with gratitude.

I can’t warn them. Words have no bridge to those who have turned the trance into a home. My role is not to pull them out — it is to observe the architecture of their prison, to remember the shape of the bars, for the day a few of them finally awaken and start clawing at the door.

The next round of shockwaves is on its way. Everyone is so distracted with the newest triggers and issues and all I see is a repeat of the same kind of posts.
