︵‿۶ৎ 𝓐‿ the flowing river came across a large lake ariel's never encountered before. her pendant hangs around her neck, exploring this body of water before adventuring up to the land above. but for now she's recovering, rehydrating after a long few days of legs and feet that left her skin more bruised and dry than she'd expected under the hot sun. this water is clean, she thinks, despite the small amount of algae flowing around, like it hasn't been touched by humans in years which leads ariel to think she might be near a forest or somewhere far from civilization. a great place to explore nature ! humming a distant chant, she rests here for a bit ── until a large body suddenly crashes in and has her instinctively hide behind a few plants, studying ... a human ? no ... looks like ... a large animal. 🍓 a thingamabobs for @mastercfthecastle .ᐟ

"i had a nightmare." ariel admits with the light shrug of dainty shoulders, chuckling to amend how silly that probably sounds. "so you're right, i didn't sleep much."
