Despite having access to her office in the main city again, Linda still tried to keep seeing her powered patients in the District, most just felt more comfortable there and she couldn’t blame them. It had been a full work day and she was looking forward to getting back to her apartment in the city (she was very pleased to have kept the rent paid it was great having that bathroom and bedroom again) but as she left the clinic she spotted and unmistakeable figure close by and smiled. 

“Erik, it’s been some time. How have things been for you lately?” NOVA excommunication from the city had likely impacted the District as well.

Bobby had to say, exploring this District X was a little overwhelming. Back home it was just a small handful of them with the Professor and here? Well there were so many mutants! He’d never have dreamed of seeing so many in one place before and it was kind of overwhelming... That and the whole time travelling thing. So he’d gone looking for a quiet place and found one. 

These greenhouses were huge and he recognised almost none of the plants in them but no one else was about so he was happy enough sitting in the corner and reading a book. He didn’t read often but he liked to fall into a fantasy novel from time to time. He was about two chapters in when he heard the door to the greenhouse open and jumped out of his skin when Magneto casually walked in. “You!?” he yelled, getting to his feet and raising his hands which quickly iced over, “How are you here!? If you wanna fight mister you got it!” he yelled, wishing he had backup.

When: Present Day Where: District X - Linda’s Office With: Quentin & Erik @kingquire

Linda had been working to follow Erik’s instructions since their first lesson on trying to protect her mind somewhat. Her ‘house’ came more easily to her mind’s eye now, an office for her work memories, a garden for her childhood, a dorm bedroom for her college years, a regular bedroom for her more... intimate memories. It certainly wasn’t easy, and the image seemed to slip often, but she was trying. 

Erik had scheduled to meet with her again this afternoon and said he’d be bringing a telepath with him to ‘test’ how she was getting on. Feeling slightly nervous, Linda opened her office door to see Erik and a young with shocking pink hair she vaguely recognised behind him, “Please, come in.” she smiled, standing back to let both of them inside. “You’ll have to forgive me,” Linda gently closed the door behind them, “I think I’ve seen you at some point but I can’t recall your name; I’m Linda.”
