My long-term goals are to acquire or start my own company where I will improve curriculum for schools as well as help companies better their training to suit a desired standard of culture. With a Master of Science degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Full Sail University, I will reach that goal.
Currently, I am molding my mastery. I intend to better the theories of how people understand using the psychology of learning. I also intend on improving my storytelling techniques, motivational techniques, and visual and verbal communication techniques.
The short-term goals include improving my skills to create inspirational digital media. This means being able to produce artwork and designs that captivate the learner. I will create incredible content to keep both student and hires engaged using the latest technology. I also plan on improving my skills of differentiation to improve a learner’s capability. Because I already have a basic knowledge of media and technology, teaching techniques and learner profiling, I will excel in my chosen field.
I chose Full Sail among other colleges and universities because of their commitment to using technology. They also have a hands-on approach to learning, which is how I find it easier to learn and build upon what I already know. The school also provides me with the tools needed to create, which is the most important thing when trying to achieve that awe-inspiring content.
As for this blog, I will introduce ideas that will help in keeping my ideas concise and in order as well as keep my creative aspects reproducing and alive. Sometimes you will see quotes, drawings, sketches, videos and everything else required by my current classes to obtain the mastery that I desire. Sometimes my inspiration will come from my family, other times it may be abstract. I am sure that no matter where this inspiration happens, the foundation to complete my goals will become stronger and more focused. I know that the road to obtaining my Master of Science in instructional design will be a difficult one, but in the end, I know that I will be able to complete it.
