Okay, so! This one was a challenge. I will admit right off the bat that I did not find a man to fit all of your requirements. Partially because BSD men who aren’t ‘dumb’ or some flavor of narcisstic, work or ideal focused, or cold leaves you with, like...Tanizaki...and that’s about it. I ended up recruiting my friend for some help since it’s been a stupid long time since I’ve dove into BSD, and I don’t like going off of just headcanons and fanon since that can vary SO wildly.
That being said! I give you, Oda Sakunosuke! He’s got the walls for your girlie to break down, he’s got the fucked up past, he’s understanding of people’s flaws and traumas (look at how he sort of took Dazai in as a son lol) without being prone to being manipulated, and he believes in good while undoubtedly being messed up himself. Granted, he doesn’t strike me as the type to fall madly, possessively in love and constantly pursue a woman, but that doesn’t mean he’s above going at least a littleoff of his hinges for his lover. And, your girlie won’t be the star of his world, but Oda is someone who is jaded and seems to deeply craves just casual normalcy. He wants to write his book, take care of the orphans, do his job, and go out for drinks with his friends. So, he’d adore his partner and probably go berserk if something were to happen to them.
What he lacks in possessive pursuit, he makes up for in protective rage lmao
And yes, Oda is a bit rigid and stand-offish, and he’s probably a fair bit of a workaholic who’s built up some ruthlessness since, y’know, he works for the mafia. But I feel like that would add to his complex personality and the fun your girl would have dissecting his psychology. Plus, he strikes me as the type to bring as little work home with him as possible, so your oc probably wouldn’t see a lot of that side of him and she’d still be one of the few, if not the only one to see him soften up!
Sorry if this is at all disappointing, I tried my best to find a man who fit your girl’s tastes. The issue is, if I focused on the desire for the more possessive, dark romantasy side of your girl’s tastes, the characters that fit would’ve been Gogol, Fyodor, or Chuuya. Who all fit the ‘she’s the center of their world’ angle to varying degrees, but also are either ideal-focused, narcisstic, or packed full of anger issues lol. If I just went for the understanding and caring aspects, you legit kinda only got Tanizaki. Bc everyone else is either work-focused, ideal-focused, or too sunny, or easily manipulated. I think Oda walks the line pretty well, though. He’s dangerous, he’s complex, and he’s accepting of people with severe trauma, and he doesn’t fly off the handle easily, have too sugary of an outlook on life, or have a super rigid personality. My OC's name is Ursula, she's 19, and she adores animals, especially her pets (a cat, dog, and rabbit), she has a pretty big sweet-tooth with a preference for cake, she's also big on physical affection and will happily give anyone a hug. On the other hand, she absolutely hates avocado and anything vaguely resembling it, isolation, and spiders.
In terms of appearance, she's TALL, as in 6'4 tall, she's pretty intimidating because of this but also because she's got scaring on one of her eyes, resulting in being half-blind, so she has an eyepatch covering it, she also has really bad scaring on her left arm from a childhood accident. Other than that, she has long black hair with white bangs (think Akutagawa from bungou stray dogs) and orange eye/s.
