Me discussing Slytherin headcanons because I'm super sick and nobody follows my blog so its safe
I fit every single Slytherin head-canon that I have ever read, (which is actually really sad if you think about it), besides two - that they don't use logic and are really bad at math. Slytherins need logic, they have to make things work, without logic they’d be just as loud and obnoxious as Gryffindor, if a bit smarter. which brings us to my next point, Slytherins are the academically smart house, they have to be, they have so much pressure put on then that they have to act little angels in front of teachers,and that includes getting good marks. Ravenclaw is for dreamers, and people who enjoy thinking about things that aren’t work. Their procrastinators. Slytherins get their heads down and work. Its a lot easier to think of them as the evil house, but in reality they aren't. We aren't. We have to use math and logic to get out of things. I’m not here, being praised for my efforts by being a good student, I'm here being praised because I'm never caught being a bad student. And if I am ever caught I have to calculate things quickly to get out of them. That's using logic, and math, not math-math, with numbers, but the formula of math. Which is basically the entire point of doing math past the basics. Its quite simple.
So in fact, Slytherin is the house with the most logic and uses math to all its abilities.
