"Not ideal" is something I don't want to hear again any time soon when I'm turning in a test...
Especially not for the last final exam term.
Family Math Night at Millville Elementary School
Nearly 50 Bloomsburg University education majors from Ruth Kennedy’s Math Methods course coordinated a Family Math Night this spring at the Millville Elementary School. And lessons were to be had on both sides of the table.
“I gained a better understanding of what students are learning in different grades and at what time of the year they are learning it,” said Sofie Sellers, an early childhood education major.
Sarah Rhineer, an early childhood education major, also came away with a clearer picture of herself as a soon-to-be teacher.
“I knew I’d be able to get feedback from parents and students on what worked at my station and what didn’t work,” Rhineer said. “I could’ve stayed there all night. Helping and teaching students is my passion, and I cannot wait to become a teacher in the near future!”
