SKYE P. MARSHALL as OLYMPIA LAWRENCE MATLOCK (2024–)
No one does it like Olympia and Julian in the new Matlock. They’re coworkers. They’re divorcing each other. They’re competing for the same job. They still vibe. Sometimes. Whatever they have I think more people on TV should have it
OLYMPIA LAWRENCE MATLOCK | 1.09, Friends
“I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT HOW GOOD THE MATLOCK SEASON FINALE WAS!”
“THEY REALLY HAD ME STUMPED! AND THEY ALMOST MADE ME BELIEVE THE ENDING WOULD BE UNSATISFYING UNTIL THE LAST THREE MINUTES OF THE EPISODE WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE TABLES TURN BACK IN MADDIE’S FAVOR!”
“SO EXCITED TO SEE MADDIE AND MY BOSS GAL OLYMPIA START THEIR OWN LAW FIRM TOGETHER!”
“ALSO SHOUT OUT TO MY MAN JULIAN FOR ULTIMATELY MAKING THE CHOICE WITH THE MOST INTEGRITY.”
Yeah, I'm into Superwholock:
i loooove matlock (2024). i love matty matlock and i love when she is a little bit fucked up and evil. i loooove olympia lawrence and i love how she is not afraid to be a little evil right back but also out of love. i looooooove this platonic relationship and how it's working on like seven different layers. to quote the great sandra oh, "This ambiguous, charged, sexual, energetic, rivalry, mother-daughter, all this stuff, that’s all in it." like, i know what you're all thinking, NOOOO they're just friends, and i agree. but ALSO, a good friendship is cooked with heaps of ambiguity, charge, sexual undertones, energy, rivalry, and mother-daughter dynamics. who else gets it
So... does Shae just have chemistry with every woman, or....?
No one commits as much or as varied crime as the protagonists on a network TV show
