Idea: Matt and Lance fake date but not to make Keith jealous, but to ragebait Pidge cause lance tells Matt he's cute (hot) to initial ragebait but then when Matt clearly thinks its a serious remark and goes to let him down gently within eye shot of Pidge and Lance whispers to please not let him down gently as hes not serious but also because Pidge would take that as a Team Green win and to pls help him not lose to Pidge. (They both adults at this stage) so Matt takes the cue and gives Lance a kiss on the cheek and acts like hes seriously consider.

Cue Pidge screeching that can be heard in every room of the castleship

I struggled with this one tbh. It is REALLY hard to draw clouds, not sure why

not my best but it's cute (need to practice drawing clouds more though)

truly it makes me laugh how just. completely incorrect the pilot of vld was with how the paladins have previously connected with each other. like, yes, obligatory "it's a pilot it probably was written before these things were fully fleshed out and vld was notoriously poorly planned anyway", but. lord. yeah sure shiro doesn't recognize pidge by proxy to matt in that photo. we establish in shiro's book that he and matt graduated together and were likely good friends. sam and shiro clearly worked together frequently as well, but again, no recognition for pidge even though that whole family is a package deal. cool. anesthesia brain, whatever. you know who didn't have anesthesia brain? keith. if shiro adopted keith, keith would be at least loosely familiar with the people shiro spent his time around. no recognition of any of the holts, though. i like to think this is just because keith is crazy faceblind, and that's funny, but like. cmon. these two families are so clearly heavily tied together and we're just gonna pretend nobody knows ANYBODY.

pidge w a geek bar (she ONLY gets green. it’s normally apple flavored) like, post-kerberos when she runs away from her home during summer to go to the garrison. keith stole it for her and she js snuck it into the garrison

anyways, once they get back to earth, she’s like freshly 18 and the like two she had in space when missing with the castle (or wtv happened to it i DONT remember) so it’s been several months since she had one. so she one morning she’s leaving as breakfast ends and matt is like “where are you going??” and she’s like “oh im getting a geek why” and matt is like FREAKING OUT for maybe three seconds before remembering this is a war hero who’s a legal adult…and then he dont gaf (he does he just knows he shouldn’t try and stop her 😭)

but it’s not until like, the atlas when people start learning she vapes,,, her parents (+ shiro) don’t find out until they’re all at lunch or a debrief or smth and she js has it on the table, like she’s casually wearing voltron basketball shorts (GIVE THE PALADINS MERCH LIKE THEYRE A SCHOOL SPORTS TEAM 2K26) and a hoodie (this isn’t relevant i js wanted ti mention it 🥹) and like one of the MFEs or someone looks over and js yells in the middle of keith yapping about something “IS THAT A VAPE???” and it goes DEAD silent for about three seconds before keith is like. “can i finish talking or are we gonna fucking freak out over a geek bar”

anyways pidge responds like it’s the most obvious shit in the world, like “yeah i’ve been vaping?? was this not known??” and anyways the debrief is cut short and her parents are freaking out, keith and lance are laughing their asses off because they’ve been knowing, and shiro looks so done he might ask for a hit.
