what ships reminds you of Bonlena's dynamic?

Honestly I’m so obsessed with Bonlena (or more accurately the potential that ship has) I can see them in every ship but the first one that came to my mind is Stella x Bloom from the winx club

While Stella and Bloom have not know each other as long as Bonlena has, the way they support one another, defend one another, find solace and comfort in the other in a way they don’t with other people always reminded me of s1/2 of Bonlena. Their friendship (turned into an epic love later on) is what a I would’ve loved for Bonlena to have in canon instead of their friendship deteriorating further with each new season.

Other ships that come to mind are

- Korrasami, after they put the whole Mako business behind them obviously. When Asami took care of Korra when she lost her powers is how I imagined Elena taking care of Bonnie when the spirits turned their backs on her

- book Mattlena I really don’t know how to explain it but they have some moments that give me heavy Bonlena feels especially when they are on the brink of death 😬

- Julie and Karla from I know what you did last summer again don’t know how to explain this one either they just feel very Bonlena to me

- Lydia and Allison from Teen Wolf and this one is a stretch but they remind me of book Elena x show Bonnie and not show Bonlena

I’m pretty sure there are many more that reminds me of them but this is all I can remember for now.

I’m aware that all of these might not make sense to you the way they do in my head but to me they represent the Bonlena we could’ve had if the writers weren’t so racist and male centered

Paralleling Leia Forman and Jay Kelso’s ships to Stefan Salvatore and Elena Gilbert’s ships

Jay/Leia - Stefan/Elena: Jay and Stefan are perceived as “dangerous” and “don’t go near them” (Gwen and Ozzie warning Leia about Jay’s reputation with women; Bonnie, Matt, etc warning Elena about Stefan) but that doesn’t stop Leia and Elena from wanting to get to know them. Leia and Elena love Jay and Stefan’s kind souls and both girls are the guys’ kryptonite (Leia being the first girl that Jay actually had feelings for; Elena being the only one Stefan could resist compulsion for. Also this…)

Leia/Nate - Damon/Elena: Both seem more like plot devices and there for drama along with making the male character look bad (Elena is with Stefan; Nate is dating Nikki). Granted, N*ia had more substance than D*lena (Damon and Elena doesn't really talk a lot lol) but both felt like a "i-don't-know-how-I feel-this-is-wrong-but something-is-there" sort of thing to me

Jay/Nikki - Stefan/Rebekah: Okay this is definitely my fanon interpretation but like Jay and Stefan attempting to move on and something casual with both girls (and said girls not having the best relationships with Leia/Elena). Also both Nikki and Rebekah being in awe of Jay and Stefan’s feelings for Leia and Elena (canon).

Jake/Leia - Matt/Elena: Irrelevant. Not meant to be.

Jay/Serena - Stefan/Valerie: Both were plot devices to get jeia and *ugh* st*roline together. Also, Serena and Valerie (canon canon), never actually saw the true impact Leia and Elena had on Jay and Stefan.

Jay/Nate - Damon/Stefan: Minus the romantic tension that Nate/Jay have, both do have a bond. Even though Damon/Stefan is a lot rockier, they do have to work together a lot. Also, they’re both in a triangle with the main lead.

Gwen/Leia - Stefan/Elena: I was about to compare them to b*lena (which lol) but aside from being best friends, they don't have much in common. But Gwen and Stefan awakened Leia and Elena's passion for life and wanting to be happy. Also Geia could've had their first kiss in the second ep just like Stelena, just sayin'.

note: so I'm only rating the main ships + fanon ships which are popular !! keep in mind that these are my opinions and if you have different ones that's totally fine <3

stelena 10/10 ughhh they were so adorable literally so cute together i loved them so so much. and when the universe was trying to draw them together by sending visions omfg domestic stelena?? with a family?? literally would die for them

mattlena 5/10 - kind neutral on this one, probably could've been cute but because of the way things happened, they weren't meant to last

maroline 9/10 - this relationship oml !! when it started I didn't like it too much but the development >>> and then caroline singing on stage to win matt back !! that was so cute

forwood 10/10 - when I first started watching the show I would've never thought they'd end up together, but when they did it was such a pleasant surprise? and such a refresher from the rest of the ships. It felt new and exciting !!

Jalaric 15/10 they were adorable. why did jenna die :/

beremy 4/10 I thought that they were endgame when they first started dating but then jeremy cheated on her with a literal ghost so yknow, that relationship wasn't going to last

delena 6/10 I didn't like them that much tbh, I think they had wayyy too many issues to work through :( they even addressed the toxicity of the relationship but still decided to do nothing about it? ( i'm sure that they worked through these issues before they got married tho) bad boy and good girl trope overused tbh, but I gave them points bc like, THE CHEMISTRY N SHIT????

klaroline 3/10 mehh they had some chemistry but their "relationship" was so random? and it wasn't really a relationship because they had a few random moments thrown together. I do think caroline saw the good in him, but overall I didn't like them too much. plus the shippers piss me off, with the whole bullying leah pipes of the originals because they couldn't see Klaus with anyone other than caroline smh. also I hate how the show tried to paint them as star crossed lovers like?? idk what that was about haha also their relationship would've been a shitshow bc klaus screwed over almost every single one of caroline's friends :/// also didn't he almost sexually assault her when he was in tyler's body? like he was taking advantage of the fact that caroline would have sex with tyler. anyway i hate this ship with a burning passion <3
