Well, here it is!! Here's SOME of the world-building and headcanons for the upcoming CEO Maul AU fic!! If you have any questions or anything just feel free to send any asks in! I'm still trying to map some things out and also keep lots of secrets for surprises and such!
Where it takes place/business info
This will take place on Coruscant! It still remains an ecumenopolis planet except it mimics that of New York. Not only is that something I'm extremely familiar with, but anytime I see Coruscant it always reminded me of NY!
Most of the SW terminology will be used.
It's modern AU so basically everything we have exists in this fic! The only differences are there are no cars, just landspeeders, speeders and ships like usual.
The one thing that will be really different will be phones! So a data plan only works for that specific planet, and therefore when you travel to another planet, your phones are practically useless unless you're able to connect to the holonet with it. So for example, If I live on Naboo and travel to Tatooine, I cannot make calls or send messages to anyone. Therefore Comlinks and Holocoms are still EXTREMELY necessary and honestly still preferred because it's far more secure.
Our foods will exist, alongside the star wars universe foods, drink, etc.
Because it’s an AU the clone war didn’t exist and instead the clones were created purely for the study of science, which brought up a lot of issues for the public! Due to all of the backlash and such, the clones were granted their freedom with all the rights as every other citizen!
Government wise, the republic exists and so do the separatists, along with the senators, but it's more like our form of government-so president, vice president, etc. Palpatine IS NOT the president nor any type of “political” involvement.
Jedi and Sith do not exist it’s mainly…religious types of views??? Type of thing. So just because someone believes in more of the Sith religion doesn’t mean they’re a bad person, vice versa
The ability to travel to different planets and systems still exists!
QuanCom is a multigalatic technology company based on Coruscant! It focuses solely on artificial intelligence along with internet-related services and products and was the sole creator of the HoloNet, Holocom, and Comlink. It offers other products like security cams/surveillance, along with home protection. It’s considered one of the **Big** technology companies along with Apple and Microsoft. It’s one of the most influential economic and cultural forces in the galaxy.
QuanCom is very well known for its well-established technological innovation. It’s the largest AI provider and the largest private employer in the galaxy.
This company was founded by Talzin in 46 BBY in Manhattan, NY back in early October. They originally started solely as an online market for security cams/surveillance but soon expanded to electronics/software. It soon blew up with the invention of the Holocom and Comlinks with their intended audience being the government but soon breached out across the galaxy for easier communication for everyone.
Revenue $300+billion, Net income $12 billion, Total assets $250+ billion, Total equity $65+ billion, Number of employees 855,000
After 10 years in business, Talzin was under a huge business scandal, Now there's a new owner and CEO of QuanCom. No one knows who it is or what they look like!

He had a really bad childhood. Due to the horrible childhood he had, he now has cybernetic legs that begin mid-thigh.
Despite the horrible upbringing, he was determined to make a better life for himself and got his masters in business!
Maul is insanely smart, but he's not the type to brag about it or show off. He prefers to remain modest in every aspect he can.
He's still your typical pouty angsty boy with the hot-headed tempter! Emotions are still something he hasn't had a grasp on yet since they've bee suppressed for so long and he has no desire for any type of relationship outside of Savage and Feral.
Once he graduated and got his masters Savage and Feral got him a 1.5M$ watch from Graff which had hand-painted painted moons of Dathomir
He's very in tune with fashion and prefers to stay updated with the latest to maintain his image. Deep down he has some self-image issues based on his traumatic past.
Once he's out of the office though, it's simple outfits like joggers and plain v-necks, t-shirts, or hoodies. Nikes are a preferred choice of footwear.
He has two favorite colognes that he'll interchange week by week. Sauvage by Dior, and Versace Eros. The Dior one was originally a gag gift from Feral but turned into one of Maul's favorites.
When he was around 15 feral dared him to pierce his ear, so he has the stud in his cartilage
