heavily inspired by “people we meet on vacation”

a better version of reality where two friends, separated by distance, make the decision to close it once every year for a special trip, meant only for the two of them.

mia is a med student, desperate to learn more about the world by exploring it. she decides to join a program which allowed her to attend a british school for a year. there she met max, a boy a few years older, who was—of course—a popular charmer among his peers. he happened to volunteer in driving the foreign students to their british guardians. mia fell for him instantly. throughout that year he was there when she felt alone and they developed a strong bond built on trust.

a camping trip started it all. it was a few weeks before she left and they made a promise to go on a trip together every year. who knew after a few years worth of temporary girlfriends and summers spent with mia, max would finally match her feelings and they’d end up together? probably mae ( @easyboyrecliner ), who was shipping them from the start.
