Also who are lestappen kidding?!? posing together for pics at work, and they grew up karting doenst give chemistry. It just doesn't work for me. Also that's fine they can like what they want, but don't even try to compare the 2 ships.

And I agree, ppl can like Lestappen all they want, but they do not have the right to compare Lestappen to Maxiel. Bc we know Maxiel would win that.

thank uuu! the full version of that gif is here. it's one of my personal favs! they were visiting nasa and brought daniel's race suit as a gift. The staff lady commented on how surprisingly lightweight the suit is (i totally get it lol they look so sturdy but only weigh like two heads of lettuces). and then daniel explained, "yeah it's a super lightweight sport. so it's like, we try and save grams wherever we can" and he sounded a lil off/self-conscious saying that. and then max gave him the lil stomach pats. as a soothing attempt i think. idk how to describe it actually 😳 here's the video

also Daniel was like. soo obviously jet lagged and low energy in general that day, and max kinda took on daniel's usual role of being the camera friendly one and tried to actively involve Daniel into the filming process. it was super sweet 🥹 indescribable (them) inconsolable (me)

I would love to show the ppt to my best friend, to whom I recently explained the 2024 f1 grid (using a diff ppt from tumblr) and she chose Max and Daniel as the ones she liked most even though I hadn't mentioned their relationship at all and barely scratched the surface of their individual lore

Actually Anon, I love you for sharing this because I completely agree with all of this. Especially the part explaining that l*stappen fans kinda force Max into someone he's not. Making him completely how he isn't just to fit the perspective of what they want him to be like.

Also the versainz part is so real, while there was a bit of tension between them in the toro rosso days, they're completely fine with each other now. But some l*stappies don't accept that and force Max to not like him in their fics.

I'm not gonna go into much detail into why I agree with that post, though I completely agree with all of it. Mostly bc it would be too long for me to post and I don't want to do that.

You are so kind to anons, @logansargey! People like this really need to take a chill pill ❄️💊 like, that type of analysis and discourse is exactly what these tags are for? 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️

And it’s way better than the far too common driver hate that floods these tags because people love to hate post about drivers they don’t like (although why they give them that much of their time if they hate them so much, I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ ).

And I love your analyses of Maxiel, Piarles, and L*stappen! Super accurate!

I started in L*stappen because of some great fanfic, but I had to cast it aside for Maxiel and Piarles as soon as I actually started paying attention to the lore and how they all interact with each other.

Because of course none of this is actually real, but the hard core L*stappies really don’t like to admit that Charles has more chemistry, and a deeper friendship, with Daniel than with Max 🤭

And no hate on L*stappen, because most L*stappies are great and just want to enjoy their ship. But the problematic people in fandom who think death threats are okay seem to be mostly into L*stappen at the moment, for whatever reason. (Maybe because the ship is built on more delusions than most others, as a friend who is also an ex-L*stappie used to say? 🤭)

Most importantly, I’m so sorry that they sent you threats! What the hell is wrong with some people?! I do hope you’re okay? Much love to you ❤️❤️ and you’re so right: let us stay strong in Maxiel and Piarles, just for these idiots! 🤭🤣)

Yes I fully agree, people hating on drivers is insane. To give someone that amount of time in your life, it's just damp behavior.

And thank you! I spend a lot of time analyzing Piarles and Maxiel and other ships (mostly because I don't have a life.)

I also started in the Lestappen fandom but quickly realized, there's literally nothing there. I tried to stay but I would rather lick a sidewalk. I also loved the chemistry Piarles and Maxiel had tg.

Charles does have a good amount of Chemistry with Daniel, more than he does with Max obviously. Mostly because Daniel and Jules were quite good friends so he kind of took Charles under his wing.

And I feel like I get a pass saying I don't see anything in that ship, because I actually did used to ship them, but now I literally can't. There's nothing there for me.
