Today is day 1 of week 1 of the Maximus Body 6 month program….and it’s definitely not for the unprepared!!!! Started with a warmup of a 10 min “slow” row and some various squats and lunges. Then did the dead lift “max test”; maxed out at 275lbs….I could have gone ~10-20lbs heavier if I was ok with shitty form (it was starting to break at 275)….but shitty form is NOT OK and, as I don’t want to hurt myself, I stuck with the 275lbs. Then I did a 3,000 meter row….with the goal of finishing it in 10 minutes……it took me 11 min and 53 seconds (according to the row machine) and it was f’n hard (the stats from this row are included, HR is the trace, stroke rate is solid). I had my HR up to 156bpm and my lungs were burning…..did I mention it was HARD? Goal now is, of course, to get the 3000 done in 10 minutes!!!
