Don’t fear failure. Fear being in the same exact place next year as you are today. Progress is happiness. Client setting a new 1 rep max for the barbell curl. 💪 It doesn’t matter if you can do 100 or even 1,000 push barbell curls. What’s important is giving it 100%! This mindset and motivation will truly help you achieve your fitness goal/goals. Keep training hard, stay consistent with both training, meal plan, eat well, focus on progression, aim to have quality sleep, relax and try to stay stress free. All these elements will help maximise those body transformations. #1repmax #1repmaxday #barbellcurls #barbellcurl #armday #bodypositive #bodytransformation #england #shropshire #shrewsbury #onlinepersonaltrainer #onlinenutritioncoach #clientgoals #fitnessmotivation #fitnessgoals #healthandwellness #increasestrength #leaner #fitnessaddicted #likeforlikes #likeforfollow #followforfollowback #gym #sporteducation #fitness #upperbodyworkout #results #bodytransformations #bodytransformationpackage #bodytransformationchallenge (at Shrewsbury, Shropshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw_hhfQFjju/?igshid=lr32fmmpm0nj
Strict press test for 1 rep max - got up to 75kg which is my old PR so very happy with that. About to begin strength training again so the aim is to get up to 85kg maybe 90kg by the end of it. 😁💪 #strictpress #press #1repmax #pr #strength #strengthtraining #weighttraining #weightlifting #weights #crossfit #crossfituk #crossfittraining #crossfitters #gym #exercise #fitness #fitnessmotivation #gains #gettingthere #gettingfit #gymlife #weightlifter #weightlossdiary #weightloss #weightlossstory #weightlossjourney #weightlossmotivation #weightloss https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo6dEQmHLMH/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ovmy788qfzha
111kg/245lbs on the #benchpress for a 5 piece. Went three sets. First two sets I hit 240 then jumped up to 245 for my last one. #315bench should be coming soon with the switch back to powerlifting. #1repmax was at 305lbs..... Shouldn't be too hard to raise 10 more pounds.... Right🤔💯😂 #dontgiveup #keepgoing #icandoit

Testing Too Often
https://facebook.com/jpfitnesspro
“ Often I see people test their 1 rep maxes much too frequently. If you are no longer a beginner in regards to lifting age, strength is not something that is going to increase on a week to week basis. Testing too frequently increases your risk of injury, increases the likelihood that you get down about your progress, and in general is just pointless. You WILL NOT increase strength that often, so testing that often will tell you nothing. Implementing specific periods where you taper and then test is the mark of a good training program “
