Lucanis, my Rook Mercar, Simara, and Spite are enjoying a sweet moment in Café Pietra. Spite thinks this coffee smells a bit unusual, kind of like Lucanis, kind of familiar, but also not, not like the one in the Lighthouse that he's used to. I wonder if he smells honey and lavender cream. 🍯☕💜 I like to headcanon that Lucanis and Rook share their first kiss later that evening.

In pretty much every RWRB first time fic I’ve read, Alex enters the story with tons of sexual experience with women, so his first time with Henry is revelatory for his sexuality, but there’s always that “the mechanics are pretty similar” moment.

I want a virgin Alex. I want an Alex who has been living his life to this point always picturing his first time as being with a woman, all his fantasies leading there if only he can get out of his own head and forget about having to be PERFECT. That was his downfall with Nora: He wanted her, would dry hump with her into oblivion, but when it came time to go farther he couldn’t stop thinking about how he wouldn’t measure up.

And then when he crashes into Henry, he doesn’t just realize that he’s completely into men too, he’s into THIS man; this man who challenges him and pushes him and leads him so gently and inexorably into every part of his sexuality. Who has experience, a LOT of it, and uses it to drag Alex out of his insecurities and pin him inside his own body. Alex doesn’t have to be perfect for Henry; he just has to be good for him. And oh, how Henry makes it easy to be good for him.
