major shoutout to Elisabeth Leustig (who sadly passed at age 50 in 1995) for her casting work on newsies because--

what do you mean these people aren't actually related? and Luke was literally 12 they had no idea what he would look like

I like that this implies that while no one got Esther's blonde hair, the boys have managed to avoid Mayer's male-pattern baldness for the most part

I'll also note David's the only one to get her eyes...

David headcanons?

Davey Jacobs hcs 🖋 💙

- This guy has chronic nose bleeds all the damn time, it's even worse in winter. Sometimes, he'll have up to three a day when it's cold. He just walks round with tissue in his pocket and shoves it up his nose

- (modern au) Sometimes, Sarah will randomly come into his room and pester him until he does a face mask with her, he always does a pull off one and screams when it hurts to take off. Sarah finds it hilarious every time.

- loves his dressing gown and wears it the second he gets home. Jack used to love wearing it sometimes when Davey would let him, so one year for his birthday, he bought him a matching one in red. Now they sit around like middle-aged women before a school run

- He is a firm believer that food should not be consumed early in the morning, he hates eating breakfast because it always makes him feel sick. His mother forces him to before he goes out selling because she's scared he'll be hungry

- He loves writing story's, he has books and books filled with different stories about Oc's that he's created over the years, at the end of the day, he sits at his desk and incorporates part of his day into fiction

- in addition to that, he often writes romance stories about two boys. He slowly realises that the love interest weirdly resembles Jack and that the other boy weirdly resembles him... he used to let Sarah read them and she clocked it straight away

- Can't be yelled at without crying after, especially if it's by an adult

- BEGS his parents for a bird for years, its his dream pet he wants one so fricking badly. They say no because they wouldn't know how to look after it, eventually they settle on a cat called birdie

- He always laughs so hard at his own joke that he can't get it out, and by the time he's said it out loud, it's not even funny anymore

- when he wakes up, his hair is CRAZY. like it's so poofy and fluffy that it's basically an afro

- him and his mother bake together. It's always been their thing since he was little and would just lick the spoon (that's all he really does now)

- (Modern Au) he LOVES spiderman, its his hyperfixation. He and his dad have matching sipderman and iron-man key chains.

- refuses with his whole soul to participate in PE in school, he just goes limp on the floor and refuses to move until class is over

- can play the piano

- he feels way too selfish to ask his parents for anything, so he often has holes in his shoes or missing buttons on his shirt. He hates asking for things, and he hates money being spent on him. He feels too bad after
