"And… done!" Pandora exclaims, setting the piping bag down and jumping up excitedly.
"Finally! Does this mean I can finally eat one?" Marlene asks from her spot on the countertop.
"You're so impatient. How can you eat a cupcake before the whole batch is done? That doesn't make any sense!" Pandora scoffs, turning around with her hands on her hips to find Marlene grinning at her.
"But your baking is just so incredible, sweetheart," Marlene says, fluttering her eyelashes.
"Don't sweetheart me, babe," Pandora replies and they both giggle. Pandora picks up the two "worst" cupcakes (Marlene would say they're all perfect) and hands one to her girlfriend. "Well?"
"Perfect, Pans," Marlene says, mouth full of cupcake.
"Keep your mouth closed while you're eating, you hooligan!" Pandora walks over and lightly hits Marlene's shoulder, only making her laugh in reply. The rain outside continues to pour heavily and the plants shine green in the darkness.
"Hmm, lovely afternoon, isn't it?" Pandora asks, leaning back on the counter beside Marlene.
"It's stupendous, actually," Marlene corrects, laying her head on Pandora's shoulder.
"Stupendous it is, then," Pandora smiles.
