i had to buy food and meds and now i am $73 short on rent. i also have $931 in credit card debt and i owe my school $427

rent due march 1 ($0/$73)

credit card minimum payment + interest due march 8 ($0/~$36)

tuition final due date will be in april because i will be blocked from signing up for more classes if i have outstanding tuition ($0/$427)

i will be dropping new leather goods and linocut prints on my etsy on monday (march 2) 5pm PST! unfortunately thats after the rent is due, but i wont have time to post photos of the pieces until then :/

I'm sick and tired of people chalking up new symptoms/worsened symptoms to "it must be your medication"

You mean the medication I've been using for years without issue? What about the idea that my body is the one that caused it? Or even a change in environment? Why do you think it's the medication? Because it can be easily changed? You know thats not how it works right?

Idk why but abled body people just hate the idea that disabled people's disability can naturally get worse. Like no I'm not extra sore because of "medication side effects" I'm sore because I'm chronically ill!!!!

dunno what i’m using my blog for yet but i wanted an anonymous space to talk abt… stuff ig. somewhere to scream into the void, if you will

anyway. officially got diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease friday and by the grace of god the meds my dr prescribed were ready the same day. i’m glad i got this uh sort of figured out? although if you asked me what the end point of me telling my pcp mid march both my hands have pain in them was an ana titer of 1:2560 and an autoimmune diagnosis i wouldn’t have guessed this

i also feel very imposter syndrome-y abt it all. i’ve seen the symptoms other people talk about and i just.. feel bad that i got it figured out so quickly. i’m also incredibly grateful to my drs for listening to me, but i feel like others have a whole lot of symptoms and still. idk what i’m trying to say exactly.

my only symptoms are the hand pain/minor swelling when i wake up in the morning but as i look through posts with other people talking about it it seems a lot of things about me that i thought were normal uh aren’t to say the least. i get really tired when i’m out in the sun, my face is typically some shade of pink and gets really red in the sun without sunscreen, fatigue that i’ve been attributing to my mental health being shitty for so long (which is probably part of it)

again this is mostly just yelling into the void for me. and to top it off the kids (i’m a teacher at a daycare) def got me sick so that’s fun

Ugh my lupus is so itchy, nothing is helping ease the rashes or hives

My body is so blistered and swollen but my insurance dropped and I can't afford to pay for any meds to treat it

I've tried every over the counter solution I can think of but I'm just writhing in agony here

Today I ate DANGER EGGS so my tummy could SHOOT GAMMA RAYS for a medical test.

So far I have not gained super powers which I can shoot from my tummy like a care bear.

Also my stomach doesn’t work properly, but we did sort of guess that.

Anyway, disappointed, did not live up to expectations. Nice med tech, though, and I did get to say “danger eggs.”

I was recently diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease (I've been told it's kinda like a combination of lupus and RA symptoms) and I'm wondering how autoimmune folks manage symptoms in the winter. Does anyone have any advice for keeping my joints happy in the cold?
