🤫 : someone you secretly admire @corpatrem again, i don't know how secret it is, but i have so much love for tj. they're an incredible writer and someone who has created a muse that i now cannot imagine not being in multiple of my muse's lives. that's not to mention the canon characters they write so incredibly well too. i love all the conversations we have together and the verse that we have made. it is one of my favourite things on here.

🌙 : a mutual whose aesthetic you adore @c0eur / @h4thaway / @drk1ng i adore all of cait's aesthetic so much. i am not one for a lot of aesthetic things on my blog, but always admire what cait does from afar. most of the time i don't format my replies a lot, but whenever there is a cait reply in my drafts i will inevitably do something for my reply to her. not because i feel like i have to, but she just brings it out in me. maybe one day i'll be more consistently aesthetic, but until that day i'll just stare at cait in wonder instead

⭐ : someone whose threads you always save or follow @thetenthman & @linewrk tbh i am not always the best at keeping up with other threads on the dash (i blame the dastardly timezones), but i have been finding myself drawn to the threads between strange and katelyn of late. i'm sure i've been missing some replies along the way but i always slow down when i come across their posts on the dash

💌 : a mutual you want to cheer on today @s4nsfrontieres we haven't had the chance to interact much yet, but i am super keen to get to know baran and steph more. the mere fact she writes baran is such a huge tick in my books and i can't wait to see what she does with her and just be able to share thoughts and things about our muses

🌟 : someone who always motivates you to write more everyone it's so hard for me to pick just one person or even a few. any writing i do on here is more writing than i would have done otherwise. whether it's one paragraph or five, it's all of the creativity and energy that everyone gives to me in their replies that just makes me want to write more in return every single time.

There should have been a betting pool on how long after Robby's departure shit would hit the fan, not that Yolanda ever won any of those. When she walked out of that conversation, there was a storm brewing openly on her face, and an intern all but dove out of her path as she started checking each room for a familiar figure. YOLANDA LOOKS UP from where she's perched on the couch, reading glasses slipping down slightly as she glances over at trinity on the other end. she raises an amused brow. ❛ no, she thinks i'm helping you study for step 3, ❜ yolanda quips, chuckling as she returned her gaze to the medical journal she'd been annotating. ❛ of course emery knows. she also doesn't care. ❜ emery would be one to talk, anyway. the attending had her fair share of hookups with other people in the hospital. the memory of one pedes resident showing up outside emery's door one night to nail her clothes back to the door making her smile. she pauses her annotation, looking back at trinity again. ❛ she's not gonna talk to anyone about it or anything, if that's what you're worried about. emery doesn't have other friends. ❜

a baby. she's decided to foster a baby. one that, despite samira's every effort, will not seem to calm down. and sure, she knows that it's just a stage. a lot of babies around little jane doe's age cry inconsolably. she'd thought herself prepared for that. reality is far different. she's done the responsible thing, leaving jane in the bassinet while she steps into her apartment's living room. they tell parents to take a break sometimes when it gets like this. the muted monitor in hand, eyes still glued to the screen, samira calls really the first person on a very short list that she can think of. @mctrouble had quieted the crying infant before, so rumors go. the nurses had been delighted to discuss it.

"please pick up," samira finds herself murmuring quietly as the phone rings and rings. around and around she paces, trying in vain to at least temporarily drown out the wailing. and then, blessedly, trinity's voice greets her. "i need some help. she won't stop crying. the baby. jane. i took her home. dana was asking about emergency kinship fostering, and i don't know. i'll cover any shift you want, just please come over."

a clipboard's bottom ledge props just beneath her ribcage. she's scanning lab results for the markers to the left or right of reference range & an index finger tabbing her place at the top, peeling back the top layer of patient information. it's a rare moment to catch up, & mckay feels the breath of it, too, exhaling a stream that tilts her hair from where it's curtained over her gaze.

a beat sets in.

a sidelong cast of her gaze, skimming with just as much scrutiny she offers the set of tests in front of her, before she leans the board away from herself & caps it with a palm. a gentle curve grabs the edge of one lip.
