Riley went to the Come as You Are party happily, finding a good place to smoke near a window as she did some of her favorite ( and only ) party tricks after the game of Truth or Jinx. “I guess I’ll go home now seeing as that’s the only relatively cool thing I can do,” she watched as a star shaped smoke ring formed, smiling as she went to looked at the person nearest to her. “Want a hit? Figured if I was going to come as I was, it wouldn’t be authentic without a shit ton of weed.”
“Oh, don’t worry about it, dear. This one’s on me.”
“I do not recall doing that, but if you say so, I suppose I should believe you? After all it is possible I’ve oblivated myself many times,” Atlas muses in his normal condescending tone. Atlas pokes his cheek with his tongue and says, “I do think that small fire was an anomaly, it is summer, and you know no majs and their solar mirror things, they reflect perhaps that set fire to your curtains?” He says despite knowing it was definitely one of his spell inventions backfiring.
Eli put his hands in his pockets, pushing his long trench coat behind him. if he was being honest he hated being here, at MCUSA, where everything was wizard all the time. He much preferred the world outside its doors, where he was just another gritty looking man in a gritty city.
He walks into the MCUSA building with a boyish smile. Occasionally he’ll hum a few bars of the upbeat song stuck in his head. Despite what is needed of him for his job, Zandr is a cheerful person. He paused a moment to look up at the threat meter. His smile faltered and his face grew serious. He was lost in thoughts of the rumors of why it was on low. He’d heard everything from it was the no-maj government to secret pure-blood societies. However, there was no proof to support any one solid lead.
Nissa angrily sucked the hot liquid through her teeth. Yet another client had canceled last minute on her; the third one this week. This generation had no clue how rude they could be. Nissa worked hard, and she always packed her schedule as tight as possible. She had to make rent somehow. But she was trying to see this cancelation as an opportunity; a moment to enjoy herself. The Healer hadn’t been to Witches Brew in ages, and she had an appointment in the Financial District in an hour. It seemed like a practical place to kill time. She closed her eyes as the tea latte coated her tongue with sweet cinnamon and and spicy clove, “Tastes like home.”
Linden was lost in thought before someone caught their eye, and they were standing before them in just a moment, “Oh my God, I love this, where’d you get it?” they say, not touching, but admiring their outfit.
