Her. Again. :/
I think the best way to insert Makar and Measse into the later Legendarium is to make them Maiar of Tulkas, who came with him to Arda to help the other Ainur fight Melkor, but later turned out to be rebels. Either they joined Melkor for some time and then left him as well, or they realized early on that they wanted to live separately from both Melkor and the other Valar, because neither side could offer something that would fully satisfy them. Melkor was too destructive and too oppressive as a master for their liking, and the Valar were too boring and also restrictive in their own way.
That’s how they could end up living in their own palace, with a bunch of other Maiar hanging around, and sometimes causing some shit in the world, but sometimes helping to fight Melkor (like they did in BoLT).
Makar and Measse are easily the best of all the discarded BoLT characters, and while I understand why Tolkien didn’t carry them over into Silmarillion, it’s still sad knowing we could have had two sexy gods of war who were neither good nor bad. Who lived however they pleased, could easily side with Melkor if they wanted to, but could also agree to put him down once they realized the harm he was doing to the world was too much and no longer fun.
I honestly wish they had stayed in the story instead of Tulkas and taken over his function of restraining and defeating Melkor 🥲🥲🥲

The Lotus Room
by a_world_of_whimsy (@a-world-of-whimsy-5)
Tulkas, Nessa, and Meásse engage in diversions with each other while enjoying the heady delights found in the Lotus Room. (Or, a story of yours truly giving Sir-Fights-A-Lot a yen for red-heads.)

Day #172 - Fierce
Man, imagine the SIlm with Meássë. Pure chaos.
Makar & Meássë
Still not over Makar speaking for Melkor´s release because he was bored, like, whatever you say man XD, for Meássë? the only thing I have to say is I fully understand Melkor not wanting to fight a woman who named herself "gore". kind of iconic tho...
Don´t know if I like their clothes design, but the other I like
Obscure Tolkien Blorbo: Round 2
Silmariën vs Meássë
Silmariën:
The eldest child of Tar-Elendil, the fourth King of Númenor.
She missed out being a Ruling Queen by *one* generation!! But she inherited the Ring of Barahir and other heirlooms and the Lords of Andunie descended from her :)
Meássë:
A warrior Valië from an early draft of the legendarium, sister of Makar.
She's described as being fierce and having bloody arms and i just think that's neat
She's a warrior Vala with bloody arms who thinks Valinor is for the Valar only. Silmarillion Valar are way too squeaky clean. Meássë makes them much messier and more interesting.
Who is your blorbo?
