Anyway, to answer your question, it really depends. If you're asking about me by the time I got into whump and knew the term, then I was already open to virtually everything—to put things into perspective, I did several whumptrope tier lists and I put exactly one trope at the "nah" section, and even then that was an open "nah" because I was only saying "nah" to roleplaying said trope, not consuming or creating it. If you're asking about me before the time that I got into whump, though? Dear god. I was repressed as crap. I pretended that I didn't like any of the weird things that I did. The entire label of whump would've been rejected by me out of fear, or at the very least I would've rejected most whumptropes to stay pure and innocent. What? Me? Fascinated by fictional torture? No! Not at all! Or at the very least, I have standards!
If you would like me to pin down one trope in particular, it'd probably be blood and gore that I figured I wouldn't initially like. Partially because I figured it could too easily become a cheap thrill in horror (similar to jumpscares) and whump and whatnot, but also partially because I was afraid I'd sound like a serial killer if I said I really liked blood and gore, LOL. I still agree with the first point, to be fair, I just now also like it for purely self-indulgent purposes as well. (Cough cough, peep how many times I used the #blood and #gore warnings on this blog.) I'm also more open to it because it's not exclusively a cheap thrill every time it's used.
