medresident said: If you have an attending who’s remotely understanding to the fact that you might worry about a pt good for you!! My best friend, a professor at my school, shot himself and 3 days later I was told to get over it cause people die the time in medicine.

Heh, I think y'all forget that I'm in the touchy feeliest of all specialties. I'd argue that family medicine is more touchy feely than psychiatry sometimes. But I mean, how could I not be worried about that patient? I am human, ya know. Also, medresident: your professor friend may not be human. Might want to get that checked out. That was not cool.
