Day 5 of #MarchMeetTheMaker is Details. Adding funny little details to my animals is one of my favourite parts. I love making them hold tiny foods, accessories, and even tiny animals. I made this Frenchie holding his favourite Frenchie plush toy a while ago and never posted it. A lot of times, making the tiny version of things is harder than making the larger versions. It can be very fiddly and easier to poke your fingers. You. I think they mean me. I am surprised that everyone doesn't know me, or that anyone does. Depending on the day. ⠀ ⠀ I am a knitwear designer. I moved from sewn fashion designing to knits in the 90s. Knits allows me to create the fabric, and the silhouette. I am so fortunate to wake up every day ready and excited to pursue my ideas, creating hand knitting patterns, classes, and various other creative ideas. Needless to say, I am extremely grateful to Mitch, who makes it possible for me to do this. He somehow believes in me even when I don't. #marchmeetthemaker day 7 has the prompt of learn 📚 I am always learning things between running a shop, getting an education, and life in general! Sharing knowledge is also a huge part of why I do what I do, I try my best to make learning about history through fantasy and gaming accessible and fun because what’s better than learning through play?! Take this medieval things sticker sheet for example, how many things can you recognize? My degree is in history with a concentration on ancient and medieval history with a double minor in studio art and medieval & renaissance studies which lends itself perfectly to creating cute fantasy and gaming inspired products that can also function as educational tools.
