Before we get to the biggest category, I wanted to do the smallest. These are (more or less) original monsters. Sort of. I was very self conscious about calling these original but my friend convinced me. A lot of these came from a different creature collector project I tried to do, but was much more pokemon-like, inspired by kaiju.
Megapod - Based on the popular spec evo concept of a terrestrial octopus. This guy uses his funnel to shoot ink like a gun.
Tekeli Bird - Based on the giant albino penguins from The Mountains of Madness. The concept is that the penguins, after genetic experimentation, would eventually develop psychic powers and kill their former masters.
Chimerasaurus - A combination of several large herbivorous dinosaurs: pachycephalosaurus, ankylosaurus, triceratops, and stegosaurus. The size system kinda fails here because it’s supposed to be the largest monster available, but looks only moderately large due to having to fill a set square area.
Pearslang - A clam whose tongue is so large that it makes it look like a snake. Covered in pearl of course.
Pseudopteryx - A rodan-inspired monster with jets rather than wings. It’s neither a bird nor a pterosaur, and converts its energy into jet fuel. The fastest (by which I mean it has the most movement) creature in the game at current.
Trapdon - A tunneling monster which hides underground and attacks creatures which step onto its jaws. Not pictured is its large, prehensile tongue.
