Fun parallel between Melia Antiqua and Nia from Xenoblade Chronicles. They're both half human races: Half High Entia and Homs on Melia's part and Flesh eater (Half Blade, half human) on Nia's. They've both faced a lot of discrimination over this and struggle to fit in anywhere.

Despite this, Melia tries to take her heritage and royal upbringing to heart. She wants to become the next ruler of her race and make things better for all people like her. She's the hope of her late family and she uses the struggles she faced as a way to unite people under her.

Nia struggles with her body and sense of self. She has royal heritage due to being the Eschel's blade and taking over the body of the daughter. However, she feels like an imposter to the role and that she's not a real 'human girl' but despite that, has a sense of comfort to it.

Nia and Melia are both people who can understand the struggles of worse off people, due to being minorities themselves who face discrimination. However, they overcome their pain and trauma overtime and have a desire to help others like them. I love them both so much.

melia and nia had known each other for longer than you knew them, but the three of you all started dating each other at the same time

at first, nia still tries to keep up her royal act around you, while melia always chastises her for it

but after a while, nia starts to relax a little more and allows herself to be herself with you, as well as with melia

when you start dating, nia and you often call melia "melly" as a way to tease her with that nickname

though after a while, you three grow used to that name and keep it, but only in when you are by yourselves

sadly, the three of you don't get to spend as much time as a throuple as you'd like, due to melia and nia both having important duties to fulfill

but that only means that you'll cherish the time you three have together even more! 

you see the two of them more often than they see each other, since you often swap between their homes

sometimes you'll stay a week or two with melia at keves castle and sometimes you'll spend one or two weeks at agnus castle with nia

there isn't much jealousy between the three of you, since you are all mature adults, but melia and nia do envy you for getting to spend more time with the other

you on the other hand feel envy when you hear them tell you about their past

the two of them both went on those grand journeys and you can't help but wish that you had known the two of them back then…
