Midnight Snack | Jimmy & Melody
It was late and no one had stopped to eat. There was a week left before tech and the production crew was scrambling to get everything finished before the first dress rehearsal rolled around. Jimmy had finished rigging the lights hours ago, but he’d stuck around to a) see what kind of mischief he could get up to and b) avoid going home to an empty apartment (which was a common occurrence now that Connor’s unexpected political career was trying to get itself off the ground).
“Burger and fries sound good?” He asked, placing a brown take out bag down on the table, “Don’t worry,” He said, raising his free hand up in surrender, “It’s not from Sullivan’s.” He’d made the mistake of taking out food from there for everyone a few weeks ago - Eloise and Melody had not been pleased.
“Need any help? This all looks very important - “ He began, “Of course, not half as important as what I’ve been trying to accomplish. John’s trying to lose a few pounds for his role,” Jimmy explained, rolling his eyes, “Anyway, I’ve been trying to convince Lia to take in his costumes just a little bit every day during tech so he thinks he’s actually gaining weight, but Lia thinks it’s too mean,” He shook his head, “Some people and their morals. You hate to see it.” He sighed, “You don’t know anything about sewing, do you?”
