Shadows of the Damned | Chapter 1 | EVENT
As your hand slowly reaches out to the ominous crystal in front of you, you can’t help but be anxious. Maybe you have questions about it, maybe you are scared of it, but something is drawing your hand to this crystal. Your hand finally touches the crystal, and an overwhelming sensation takes you. The crystal is cold to the touch, but also has a energy surrounding it. Chaos. Pure, raw, twisted chaos. That is the only way you can describe this energy. However, while touching the crystal, you didn’t seem to notice the change in scenery.
Where you were before is now gone, you are in total darkness. The only thing you can see is the crystal and it’s red glow. The coldness has stopped, as long with the chaotic energy surrounding the crystal. You ask yourself where is this, but there is no answer. You try to scream, remove your hand from the crystal, run; it is no use. Your screams are silent, your hand is almost like it is superglued to the crystal, and your legs have inconspicuously stopped working. You were there all by yourself. Or, that’s what you want to think.
A dark silhouette stands across from you, far away from where the crystal resides. You can’t make out who it is. You can’t make out if the silhouette is human or not. However, you can feel a chaotic nature from the silhouette. Dread begins to overtake your body, and you start to fall ill. Now, the silhouette begins to walk towards you. Closer and closer it comes, and all you can do is watch as it slowly walks. While you can’t make out what it is, you feel like it is talking to you? Though no words are being spoken. The being gets closer, and now you can make out what it is, kinda. Yes, indeed, the silhouette is human. Though sadly you cannot make out anymore features of it.
Panic runs through your body. Even if you are unfazed by everything, panic still latches onto you. Freaking out and not knowing what to do, you scream: “Why are you doing this to me!?”. It was like someone wanted you to say that, or maybe commanded you to say that. But whatever it was, the silhouette stopped in its place. There was silence for a couple of seconds. Dead silence. You can only hear your frantic breaths as you try to calm yourself down. Then, it smiled. You cannot see the smile, but you can feel it have one. A big, nasty, devilish smile. Like the smile a killer gives to its victims. Finally, the silhouette speaks.
“You could have stopped it. You all could have stopped it. But you didn’t, and now you are here. I hope you all will suffer with me.” The being speaks in a distorted tone.
The crystal shatters when the silhouette ceases speaking. You, and all of your companions, fall to the ground as the world around you turns back to what it previously was. It takes a second for you all to realize that each one of you had the same vision of the silhouette.
Was... was that it? Has a door unlocked?
“Good. Now, it’s up to you to figure out which door has opened. Go, and explore. We’ll be in touch.”
