being transgender is an identity, correct? so if someone messes you up and makes you feel gross and dysphoric, you might end up finding out that you feel better as another gender identity. ending up becoming trans from that trauma. its not the most common way to be trans / to exist as a transgender individual, but it can and does happen.

its funny how you say that being trans isnt a mental illness but being a system / plural has to be. as a trans system, i think both can appear as 'mental illness' but are, overall, not inherently pathological, although trauma can disrupt your sense of self and cause you to form a trans identity or a system, especially at a young age.
Being trans is an identity, but being a system is caused by a medical disorder. Also, where is your source that trauma can cause someone to "form a trans identity"?
