HELLO FELLOW QUEERS AND OTHERS
If you're living in Australia and need oestrogen therapy for any reason (eg transing your gender, have PCOS, are menapausal), there's a supplement that's recently released called NowBU. It does not contain oestrogen, but it does help with absorption of what you've already got.
I've checked it with my GP, and she was happy with it. The only possible contraindication she found is if you have breast cancer, you don't want the red clover that's in it because that interacts.
Anyway, I'm not transing but I do have PCOS and so far it's helped make my periods lighter and less painful and I personally believe it's killed my sugar craving and the high I used to get from it.
It's not cheap, but it's really good and it's been through the whole Australian approval process so it's not super dodgy or anything. The doctor who developed it is extremely open about the fact that he has a vested interest (which is why I checked with my own GP, just in case), but he's generally really good with helping people who are going through gender and hormonal stuff.
Anyway, this has been your PSA about these supplements.
Please use my referral link, because I'm broke and it helps because I need it as well.
