I found this store on Taobao selling these cute fluffy hair scrunchies! These are super popular and could add a little something to a casual coord.

NOTE: THIS STORE HAS A LOT OF OTHER PRODUCTS THAT ARE BOOTLEGS such as MuFish! The reason I’m not concerned about this one is because this design for a scrunchie has been done a lot and no one really owns the idea of adding fuzz to a scrunchie so this is ok in my opinion!

I read that menhera illustrations are created by artists with mental health issues, or artists who struggle with physical illness. I relate a lot to some of the aspects but I'm autistic, which is a pervasive developmental disorder and so doesn't fall into either category. I really want to create menhera-themed art but I worry that I'd be doing a wrong thing and upsetting people. Do you know anything about this?

The short answer is yes and it’s fine. Menhera is such a great style that it helps people become fearless and allows for self-expression for for all sorts of things you may need to vent it’s wonderful!

Question: I wanna wear menhera but I'm worried about getting weird looks from people on the street for wearing hospital motifs. Any tips?

Answer:

My tip would be to not make it too OTT if that's what you're thinking people will notice. I've worn OTT Menhera before from Menhera themed OTKs to a pastel shirt with a nurse and medical supplies on it.

I'd recommend maybe you could try simple black leggings or simple pants then wear a menhera shirt on top and if people do start giving you weird looks for having a glittery syringe on your shirt also have a cardigan or a jacket if that makes you more comfortable.

But most importantly though, you shouldn't feel like you have to make it lowkey. Wearing alternative/harajuku fashion over time will help you build up lots of confidence and help you realize you don't need others validation if wearing these makes you happy!
