Chapter 1 (My computer is being weird rn ahaha)
Conman and "Music Professor" Vesper Noble uses his charisma to charm small towns into falling for his schemes. He plans on selling the townsfolk instruments and uniforms and makes empty promises about leading the marching band once the items arrive, despite knowing nothing about music. Librarian, piano teacher, and aspiring author Elliott Trelawney is the only one in Pelican Town who senses that something is off with Vesper. Despite his best efforts, Elliott isn't sure if he can resist Vesper's charms forever.
The story is heavily based on Meredith Wilson's The Music Man.
